They took away the milkshake machine! They added the Brew Bar, which is awesome because there are lots of great menu items within it. They now have Sweet Cream Shakes instead of actual real milkshakes and I tried a few different flavors and they are not good at all. Friends and family members have tried it also and they didnt like it. Luckily, its and easy solution, take away the gross Sweet Cream shakes and replace them with the real milkshakes that they used to have, no one wants Sweet Cream shakes, everyone wants real milkshakes! I have to give the restaurant a 1 star because of this and because of the fact that A&W back in the day when I was growing up had the best fries ever and now they are absolutely gross, sometimes I wont even get a side if I dont feel like having a poutine, yam fries or onion rings, which, those things are pretty niche sides whereas fries are a common side that most people get, kind of like a default, but honestly, who like their fries??? They are so gross, they have no flavor, super dull, even if you add vinegar they still taste gross. The only thing that makes the fries taste good is the poutine but most people dont always want to order that because its so filling, etc. I would give this restaurant 4 or 5 stars if it changed those two things but for now, because of the fries and milkshake situation its a 1 star for me.
Oh, and they also have a really weirdly designed parking lot, weird entries and exits, cars in the drive through have to take two sharp right turns, cars are blocked by cars in the drive thru when they are parked. The delivery trucks block the road on the south side sometimes because of the...

This building does stand out. It is totally recognizable and it has its own open space in an area full of large buildings packed against sidewalks and each other - and that helps show that it can give people what they want.
I will admit that I usually see this place when I'm rushing past, going to or from work; so when I am walking through the area and I stop in I am very happy.
There's lots of parking for a building this size. Once in the restaurant I saw it is very clean and well staffed. I was after the lunch rush, so they were busier with drive-thru than with dine-in patrons, but I was not ignored.
On my recent visit I just had a small meal (well, one larger burger) and it was nicely cooked and arrived in good time. The meat was pretty juicy, the toppings were tasty, and i didn't feel I had to rush through my meal.
I like this restaurant. I've heard some people say it might have a small town look, but that kind of helps add some hospitality to its feel. The friendly staff and quality of the food is better than other burger places, which adds to that vibe - there is more of a neighborhood feel to make me want...
Read moreSolid, basic fast food. Nothing wild, but nothing wrong either. Food’s always hot, orders are accurate, and the staff here are super friendly and quick. It's easily one of the cleaner, more reliable A&W’s I’ve been to. Prices feel a bit high for the portion sizes, but that’s just how the food industry is right now.
It’s not steak and lobster, but it gets the job done when you need something fast.
[@Google seriously, give us half-stars. 3 stars feels too generous, 2 stars feels like a diss—and there’s zero room for proper middle ground. Businesses use these ratings to evaluate how their teams are performing, and with no nuance in the stars themselves, it can actually hurt abover average employees who are doing an amazing job at a very average buisness—]
—Like specifically the staff here with this A&W; the food was basic, sure, but even right after opening in the mornimg, the cashier was already smiling, handing out food, and wishing people good morning. And the place looked spotless. That kind of service deserves recognition. But I’m not out here giving a 5 star restaurant review to a chain fast food joint—it’s not the freakin’ Hawksworth or...
