Completely agree with the other review. I was treated no different. They are authorized sellers for the product manufacturer. My sub that I bought from these guys died a few months ago. It was not in warranty anymore but I still called them thinking this is where I can get some help or at least guidance in getting it fixed. Well, the guy who answered my call said that they actually have an authorized tech guy on site. So I took my sub in. The tech seemed pretty polite and told me that he will check out my sub and call me with an estimate before proceeding. Gave me a receipt for reference. Well, three weeks went by and I heard nothing. I called and spoke with the tech. he told me that he has the part 'on order'. I said how much will be material and labour but he said it isn't much so don't worry about it. Ok, I like the sound of it so far so I left my sub there. Another three to 4 weeks go by and I still did not hear from them. I called again and was told they are waiting for the part still and it is coming from China. I asked him if he checked with the manufacturer, he told me that they do not sell the small transistor he needs but only the whole board, so that is why he has it ordered the part from China. Like a good customer I believed him and left again. 3-4 more weeks, no news still. I went into the shop a bit upset this time. Same answer, still waiting on parts from China. I thought I will give it one last chance. This time I did not wait 4 weeks but two weeks later went in. Did not talk to the 'authorized tech' but spoke with the store owner and told him that the tech they have on site is bringing them bad name. As a courtesy to the customer they should find a way to get the part as soon as possible and cover the labour, I will cover the material. Having waited months for the unit to be repaired I thought I at least they could do the least to keep a customer. Well, not really because the guy behind the desk chose to get rude with me to no end. Basically he didn't care if I was happy with their service or not and also believed that their 'authorized tech' had done nothing wrong by making me wait several months. I picked up my sub and took it to the manufacturer who was clearly upset to hear my story and promised that they will look into it. they also told me that they still sell all small parts that the sub circuit board might need if a repair person had contacted them. As a gesture of good will, they repaired my sub at no cost. I have told myself and have promised myself to tell everybody else who wold ask that I would not go to this retailer/authorized dealer again for any...
Read moreI first dealt with 3DAV back in the Nineties. I had a very Large Hitachi Projection TV of which there were only 20 in Canada. No one in Niagara could fix it, so Hitachi Canada sent this "warranty" guy down to my house in Niagara,he travelled from Oakville. Turned out his name was Janusz and I have now dealt with him for over 20 years. Not only did he fix it, but he also professionally calibrated it and I had the best picture ever.I have had him repair and modify high end tube equipment for me.(he builds his own from scratch). I have had Vandersteen Subwoofers repaired that no one wanted to touch. Friends that I have sent have always been pleased with his efforts. I have worked for Mercedes-Benz for over 25 years and know good customer service. He is my go to guy for solutions to "Audiophile" type problems that would stump most technicians. Janusz (3DAV) ranks up there with the Best.He is an Audiophile that happens to care about and repair things that most individuals won't or can't. I am a very picky audiophile type, and I fully endorse and recommend 3DAV Electronics/Janusz and would trust him to repair my pacemaker...
Read more3D AV was recommended to my by an audiophile colleague. I'm just starting out in the vinyl scene with my 1978 Technics SL-23 turntable that needed some attention. I spoke to Yanuzs over the phone and set up an appointment. After greeting, Yanuzs began to inspect the turntable to decide what need to be tuned or replaced. I thought I needed a new cartridge and expected to spend over $100 just on that. He told me that I already at a good cartridge and that it only needed some adjustments. There were some internal parts to the turntable that typically needs attention as well and that my output wires (RCA) needed to be replaced. Two days later he called me to say it was done. He showed me what he did and demonstrated my turntable in front of me. I was really impressed. It was also a lot less then I was prepared to pay so Id say hes very reasonably priced. After listening to my records on my own system I'm very satisfied. It is like I have a brand new Turntable.
Thank you Yanuzs, your customer service...
