I recently visited this waterfront park with my family for the first time, and overall, it was an enjoyable experience. We had a group of 20, and the park provided plenty of space and amenities for everyone to have a good time.
The Good:
• The park is well-equipped with picnic tables and some shaded areas, making it perfect for family gatherings and picnics. • There are numerous benches throughout the park, offering plenty of spots to sit and relax. • The walking paths are spacious, and it was delightful to stroll along the waterfront and watch the boats. • One of my favorite features was the Adirondack chairs along the water. They offer a fantastic view and allow you to fully enjoy the ambiance of the waterfront.
The Not-So-Good:
• Finding parking was quite challenging. The park needs more parking spots to accommodate visitors, especially during peak times. • The washroom facilities were disappointing. The washrooms , both the exterior and interior were dirty and in need of cleaning. This was a bit of a letdown, especially considering the otherwise pleasant experience.
Overall, it is a great spot for a family outing, with beautiful views and ample seating. If the parking situation and cleanliness of the washroom facilities were improved, it would be an even better experience. We had a wonderful time, and I would recommend it to others with the hope that these issues are addressed. I do love that they have a water fill up station. This was...
Read moreThis waterfront is a place where I could go and walk peacefully and feel like I was a millionaire. Get a coffee, sit by the water. Read a book if its summer. Look at the memorial benches, stones. Some of the people's names, I personally interacted with them. Maybe cry. There is or was a restaurant there (The lighthouse) maybe gone now. If I strolled around in the evening sometimes i'd stop there sit outside and have a glass of wine. Imagine myself as a yacht owner. And really all the while I'm no one that could ever have that lifestyle. It's a place that's busy at times but very serene and breathtaking. Wish I was there more often than not...

Continue along the lake on east side for a longer walk and picturesque views of the lake and on a clear day Niagara on the Lake! Beware, now you have to pay for parking. One of the highest revenue generator for the Town of Oakville is parking penalties, so high chance a parking inspector will be on the prowl for infractions. Do not park in the commercial area, almost a 400 dollar charge if towed. If willing to walk a little, park on the residential streets just off the commercial area, great walking on the East end of...
