Duckies Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Oakville

I am completely baffled by the beautiful design of this place and the lack of good ice cream! Ice cream being good is quite subjective, but not a single gelato was available! You got the lower grade (corner store ice cream) type of options. I literally did not waste my calories and went to the actual gelato fox house down the street. My friend tried the ice cream and I’ve never heard her complain about ice cream before. Definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

Here are some ideas: offer gelato 🍨! perhaps some desserts : Cheesecake Factory options, chocolate cakes etc perhaps even throw in some Nutella and strawberry crepes or other small options ! coffee / latte options would be awesome

I took my opi here on his 92nd birthday today because I know he loves ice cream and it was a very special treat. The ice cream tasted very yummy and the place/decor is very cute. My only hesitation and issue I had was the fact that they don't have wheelchair/stroller accessibility - I was with my cousin who has a baby and we both had to cart our people around the front and through the restaurant beside. It was okay but it would have been a lot easier and better if there was a ramp to be able to just go up and in. I'm also pretty sure that its illegal to not be wheelchair/stroller accessible. So they may want to look into that asap. My only other complaint was that they only allow one sample of ice cream - I've been to many other places that allow more than one so you can best choose the right ice cream. I love ice cream! Unfortunately I’m not IN love with the selection of flavours I’ve seen thus far at Duckies Dairy Bar. Sadly, this seems to be the main complaint among those in my social circle. I won’t name specific businesses out of respect for Duckies, but you can find much more interesting and flavourful ice cream along lakeshore...

You really have to be offering something better than what I get at my local Fortinos or Whole Foods for me to keep coming back all summer long.
