I had an outstanding dining experience at Jfuse. The quality of the sushi really stood out — everything was fresh, cleanly prepared, and beautifully presented. My personal favorite was the o-toro, which just melted in my mouth and was one of the best I’ve had in the city. I highly recommend ordering the omakase selection if you want to experience the chef’s creativity and the best of what Jfuse has to offer. Each piece felt carefully chosen and balanced, making the meal both exciting and memorable. The cocktails were also a pleasant surprise — well-crafted, refreshing, and thoughtfully paired with the food. It’s clear the bar team puts just as much care into their drinks as the kitchen does with the sushi. On top of everything, the service was excellent. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, always making sure we were comfortable and explaining dishes when needed. Their warm and professional approach really elevated the whole evening. Overall, Jfuse delivers on every level: fresh sushi, inventive drinks, and top-notch hospitality. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending it to friends and colleagues.

We were excited to try jfuse and have an aburi experience here in Ottawa. Our experience didn't live up to expectations. We got the lobster tempura to start. It came out looking beautiful. At $29, you get 6 pieces (the tail shell on the plate is decorative). At almost $5 a piece, it was greasy. Yes, tempura is fried but this wasn't quite the light crisp we expected. Our main was the tasting box for two. The sashmi didn't have an equal number of fish type for each guest. There were two varieties where only 1 piece was provided. We had a lot of lag time between receiving our sashimi and rolls. All the rolls were OK. Heavily sauced. Our pieces of wagu had such a strong burnt onion favour we couldn't taste the beef.... and it lingered. Not what you want when wanting to enjoy an expensive cut of beef. We spent $175 for the tempura and tasting box for 2, plus 2 non-alcoholic lemonades. Before tip. Overall, given the cost compared to the quantity of food.. and our personal experience... we likely won't be back.

I am utterly, completely, and totally OBSESSED with the incomparable Brantford, the master mixologist of the esteemed Jfuse restaurant! His unparalleled expertise behind the bar was a revelation, as he conjured up a symphony of cocktails that harmonized with the bold, innovative sushi creations like a culinary orchestra! With each swift, precise movement, Brantford orchestrated an unforgettable experience, effortlessly juggling multiple conversations, expertly crafting bespoke cocktails, and dazzling us with his encyclopedic knowledge of spirits and mixology - all while radiating a warm, inviting aura that made us feel like we were the only patrons in the house! It's clear that this bar wizard is not just a talented craftsman, but a true artist, a maestro of libations, and a shining star who elevates the entire dining experience to unprecedented heights - 10/10, would recommend Brantford to anyone seeking a truly transcendent night out!

Food was great and the place was super cute! Fair warning if you’re going to host any sort of birthday dinner or event here - they are very unprofessional and not accommodating. They had weeks in advance and also knew I was bringing in a table of 10, they did not inform us at any point in time between reserving and the actual dinner that last call was 9:15 (had multiple points of communication between then). At the dinner when we were told about last call ~15 mins before the server did not mention that it included drinks. A menu item multiple people ordered they didn’t mention until last minute that they were sold out, then gave us about 3 seconds to order something else given the last minute last call notice.

When we called about bringing a cake they said no outside food, we can photograph and slice and serve but “not eat” - they only agreed when extra money was offered. Then after blowing out candles and asking for a knife to cut the cake, we were told we “had about 10-15 minutes to eat” - mind you this was nudged even before 10pm (closing time). The staff just kind of stood around looming over us, basically rushing us to scarf down cake and open presents. I pressure in a rush we had to navigate a second space for a group of 10 and ended up having to relocate and bring all the presents, cake, and flowers elsewhere to slice and eat.

I understand there are rules in place but no proper warning was given - otherwise I would have chosen another place to celebrate. Unfortunate because I really did enjoy the food, but myself along with my guests were uncomfortable and it definitely ruined my birthday experience, so because of that I’m super deterred to go back. For the sake of future guests please coordinate better with management and staff - if you have strict rules have your servers enforce them more clearly so that your customers are aware so they don’t need to go through what we did! Even better - give a heads up while booking to avoid any sort of confusion or...
