Brewer Park — Attraction in Ottawa

This park blew my expectations!

Meeting with a friend for the first time during the pandemic, my daughter (5) was nervous when she saw where we were pulling in. Unfortunately, some kids may associate this park with the Covid test, and my daughter has been there 3 times for them.

Her nerves disappeared quickly when she saw the splash-pad area. Definitely the best splash pad we've been to yet. She especially loved the waterslide from one level to the next. There was a nice shaded area that me and my friends were able to sit in while the kids laughed and played, and lots of options of play structures for them to choose from.

The only downside was parking. The parking that is "close" to the park area is closed to public as it is Covid testing parking (having gone multiple times for tests and struggling sometimes to find parking when there under already stressful circumstances, I wasn't about to steal a spot from them). The other parking lot is a very very far walk from the park itself. We are a family with slight mobility issues so this was unfortunate. I wouldn't be able to visit if my parents were in town with us, as they definitely cannot...

Brewer Park Covid19 Assessment Center. We are in good hands. People organized, professional and caring. Sheer numbers dictate the wait. It would be utter chaos if not for the tireless efforts of all the staff present. Nurses, technicians, guides, cleaning staff - they are all part of the front line. They are all undertaking best efforts to keep us safe. My little girl and I went for testing. All our questions and concerns allayed. Results (negative) were available quickly and online.
