We just got married at The Cameron this past weekend and cannot stop talking about how awesome of an experience it was. Adrian, Phil, and the rest of the staff were an absolute dream to work with. From the initial planning stages until when the party was over, every little detail was above and beyond what we had expected. Menu planning was easier than we could have imagined. They put together a proposed menu that worked within our budget. It was perfect and we didn't even have to change one thing. The food was incredible and used many fresh ingredients. Even our pickiest guests were raving about it. We had one guest with special dietary restrictions, and they accommodated this without issue. There was no shortage of food either: a mouthwatering selection of passed appetizers during cocktail hour, wonderful grilled proteins with many flavourful accompaniments for dinner, a selection of delectable desserts, popcorn, and even a late-night bao station. I received so much unprompted positive feedback from so many of the guests. The bartenders, servers, and all the other staff were so friendly, funny, and were working so hard all day and night long. Great service. The Cameron was excellent for our wedding beyond just food and drink. They put so much effort into setting up both the outdoor ceremony and indoor reception area. It's such a great space and they recently opened up the ceiling which makes it even more visually stunning. They worked seamlessly with all the other vendors, who also gave me great feedback about The Cameron's team. The location is also great and we were able to do our pictures in the adjoining brewer park. We are so happy we picked them and would recommend them to anyone looking for a venue for their...
Read moreI luckily ended up here on a date about a year ago. We shared Aperol Spritzes and a few small plates on the outdoor 2nd-floor patio while watching local amateurs play tennis on the courts below. Pretty entertaining, and not something you get anywhere else.
I've since been back a handful of times with my now-partner, and this place never disappoints. Some of the food is surprisingly haut-cuisine for this part of the city, which mostly offers simpler fare, but everything's somehow still priced modestly, like you'd find in a nearby University student-tailored pub.
It has a complete bar that also features hip, on-tap beers not available, like, anywhere else in the city. Worth trying if you can get them before they run out-- I had an incredible Prince Edward County Janky IPA and wish I knew where else to find it!
Worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for a quick drink outside in nice weather, or a more serious sit-down meal for a first date. It...

We got married at the Ottawa Tennis and Lawn Bowling Club in the fall, awesome experience (please see our review of the club for those details).
Adrian, the owner of The Cameron worked with us for the bar side of the equation and made it a stress free experience. We were able to work with him to get the wines we wanted at a very reasonable price and he catered to us for how we wanted the bar to be set up (types of alcohol, open bar for two hours followed by toonie bar). We also had a rum punch and bubbly on the lawn which was a nice touch. Adrian's bar staff were fun and professional and everyone seemed to love them.
Food for events is handled by another entity, The Urban Element which was also fantastic.
Other than the wedding, we went to The Cameron a dozen times during the summer as we live very close to it; wonderful venue for food and drinks and a great addition to the...
