I recently had the pleasure of dining at Oat Couture Oatmeal Cafe, and I must say it was a delightful experience. Not only did the restaurant exceed my expectations in terms of its delicious vegan cuisine, but it also impressed me with its commitment to giving back through its food donations initiative.
Let's start with the food. The menu at Oat Couture Oatmeal Cafe offers a wide range of plant-based dishes. Each dish I tried was bursting with creativity, flavor, and wholesome ingredients. The chefs at this restaurant truly know how to showcase the incredible potential of vegan cuisine. I was particularly impressed by their innovative use of plant-based proteins and fresh seasonal produce. The flavors were well-balanced, and the presentation was visually appealing. My favorite one is Hungover Bowl with a vegan option. It was refreshing to have so many options that catered to my dietary choices without compromising on taste or quality.

Read moreEdit: Kind of sad to drop my review a bit but I feel like it's more accurate to how I feel now. This place just redid their entire menu, including switching up the only previous bowl they kept. While I was still able to find a bowl I like (the new Ramen flavour is incredible, and why I kept 4 stars instead of 3) my partner can't. A lot of them feel a bit overly complicated (the peanut butter, jelly, and banana themed one also has dates and coconut) and there's a number of more "dessert" feeling options with marshmallow or chocolate in them. If this is all sounding great to you by all means check it out, it's just disappointing that they didn't keep ANY of the old bowls while trying new/seasonal items. We're newer customers, so the disappointment probably isn't as big for us as the regular I saw struggling to find something new he still liked. Really glad I took a chance on this one while browsing delivery options. The toppings were incredibly generously portioned (they don't skimp on the bacon, cheese, and apples in the savory bowl I got) and it truly feels like a proper meal.
The tea latte I got is very pleasant pleasant. While I wish it had steeped a little longer, I just really like strong tea and suspect they were trying to spare me a bitter disaster since my delivery was a good 10-15 minute drive. There also wasn't an extra charge for the oat milk I got in it (on Ubereats at least) which is nice for someone who's used to shelling out an additional dollar for non-dairy options.
I hope I can visit in person to sample more of the menu sometime, their toast looks incredible but I have no idea if it would travel as nicely as my...
Read moreI often come to the Oat Couture Coffee Shop on Bank and Glen for a mocha, an oatmeal bowl and/or a Belmont sandwich, sometimes doing work on my laptop or reading for a couple of hours most often sitting the the ceiling affixed rocking chairs.
