First, let me start by saying that we NEVER complain and we really, really wanted to like this place. This place is the worst! Understaffed and not very clean. I had a feeling when I came to an empty parking lot with tons of "Now Hiring" signs everywhere. First of a all, my family (little boy 4 years old and 10 months old little girl) have been to many of these type of establishments (Koko's, Chucky Cheese, Crash Crawly's) and know what to expect. This one has to be the worst. The entire floor smelled of either moldy carpet and the "soccer field" clearly had wet spots everywhere. I stayed for a total of 20 minutes and could not take the smell. I went to the bathroom with my little boy and it smelled like urine from in the hallway. Also, for hygiene sake, kids are asked to wear socks at all times, and again, being understaffed, this was not enforced. This is EXACTLY how kids get sick from establishments like this that don't seem to care once you pay. I talked to the 1 staff person working the facility and she apologized for a lot. Bless her heart as she was very nice, but clearly overwhelmed. She was busy with checking guests in, working the food area, letting guests leave, and general maintanence. Once my wife and son stepped in wet spots in the soccer area, I was convinced we should go. The girl working the front (when not looking at her phone) assured me a refund was only possible if I paid cash. I paid debit, so I was asked to wait for the owner, who "just left". He returned a total of 25 minutes later and asked what the problem was. I told him about the "Toddler Area" just being a ripped up cushions area enclosed in a VERY small box and not very safe for babies. To charge my 10 month old the same price as my 4 year old seems a bit ridiculous as a whole, but I gladly paid it. Upon the owner's return, the first thing he murmured out was "you're not getting a refund", when I was not clearly asking for one. He was pompous and rude. He stormed off after saying, "that's it". If you're going to charge such prices, you should try to keep the place clean and well maintained. I was assured I received a "great value" because my wife and I did not pay. LOL! As if we were the ones that were meant to play there. Nonetheless, we were actually there to scope out the place for 2-3 potential birthdays of 25+ kids each, but were sadly disappointed. I would have given this place a pass if there was even an ounce of attention to detail and a shred of customer service. I hope Darryl or Darren (the owner) reads this and realizes that in order to provide a safe environment for kids to play with their families, he should really focus on cleanup and cleanliness of his facility. I'd take my money and spend it at more reputable places like Koko's, Chuck E. Cheese's, or Crash Crawly's. They all could use an update, but hey, the kids have fun there! Spend the extra gas money and take the kids to a place where they seem to care. This was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAbsolutely a fantastic place to host your child's party! Kim at front counter went above and beyond. Initially, I was told we wouldn't have access to our party room this past Sunday until the last hour of my booking but given the extra "stuff" some families carry for outings it's nice to have private place to store (instead of out in the general tables). She was able to get us access within half an hour, coffee and appies came out before the scheduled food service to the delight of my guests. A shout out to the kitchen staff and party room host to keeping the juices flowing and kids (adults alike) happy!
Since it's located in the newly developed part of Poco, I wasn't sure if it would be central for guests to find or worth the drive out from Vancouver/Burnaby. All I can say now was the 2.5 hours party booking - took my kids and other guests nearly to 2pm from 1020am arrival to leave. They ABSOLUTELY loved the place! Most of the kids were 5 or under so there was more than enough entertainment in the jungle gym for them. However, we did add on the trampoline/bouncy castle fee cause it sparked their interest - can't deny kids when they want to burn some energy after party food!
Would I book this place again? Definitely in a heart beat - clean, secure and well organized sections allow parents an opportunity to let the kids roam free with minimal supervision. During this heat, the strong A/C facility was a welcome addition!
PS. Jungle Jac team - since my kids were on the verge of a meltdown by the time we heading out, I forgot to get the birthday shirt for my daughter! We will pick it up on our next...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was so much fun, my Mom and I took my neice for a couple hours, she's 4 and was having a blast with her auntie n Grandma chasing her around the jungle Jim. We were the only adults that went in. The "jungle" was big enough that adults could go in with their kids. The price was very reasonable I thought but then the added $16 for the trampoline area to the $14.** admission and then separate fees for the 3 level lazertag and money to buy tokens for the arcade games (which many were out of order due to covid I guess) it could really add up if you brought a couple or more kids to play for the day. (And had your own socks for the trampoline- grippy type socks only byoS or buy some for $3/ea). I was impressed with how quickly the staff addressed the heavy smell of urine in the windy tube slide, by the time I turned around n walked away 2 girls were in the jungle closing off the slide. Not too sure how they were going to clean the urine out of it tho. But I'm sure they're well equipped to clean their facilities as the web page claimed they were putting extra precautionary measures in effect due to the current pandemic. The reason for not giving that last star is because I didn't see anyone clean anything in the jungle except the girls that closed the slide. I'd definitely go back with my niece but I think ill wait til the pandemic has been erased from our...
