The food was amazing, we were all so impressed. We had the half chicken, chicken skewers, BBQ pulled chicken bun, ceasar salad, spicy cod appy, and rice. Ignore the reviews on here that says the chicken is dry...Portuguese chicken is suppose to be dry. There is a sauce you can ask for with the half chicken if you want to add some juice. Proper Portuguese chicken should be crispy on the outside and dry on the inside. One of us spent many years in a Portuguese community in Montreal and this food is to the same quality. The BBQ pulled chicken is saucy and a little sweet if you want something less dry, the flavour profile is amazing! The Ceasar salad has the best dressing. The rice has a bit of spice. They have an excellent menu for non-alcoholic fun drinks. We finished things off with 2 desserts. We also had to look at the bill a few times because the total was so inexpensive. It is so nice to have a Vancouver-level ethnic restaurant in Coquitlam! We were so immersed in the evening that I forgot to take pics of our food.

A Fantastic Brunch Experience at Grelhados! I recently visited Grelhados on 855 Village Drive, Port Coquitlam, and I must say, their new brunch offerings are absolutely delightful! The Breakfast Sando was a perfect harmony of flavors, with scrambled eggs, avocado, tomato, black beans, arugula, and crispy Parmesan baby potatoes all coming together to create a mouthwatering experience. Equally impressive was the Breakfast Bowl, boasting a satisfying combination of potatoes, chickpeas, black beans, tomato, mushrooms, arugula, 2 poached eggs, hollandaise, and toasted baguette – a true brunch masterpiece. To accompany our meals, we enjoyed an americano and a creamy latte. The friendly and attentive staff made the experience even better, and the ambiance of the restaurant was cozy and inviting. If you're in the mood for an exceptional brunch, I highly recommend visiting Grelhados on weekends from 10 am to 3 pm. You won't be disappointed!

Had read good reviews but this was a disappointing and mediocre experience. Hostess was lovely and the server was trying but had no idea about the food or drink and couldn’t answer any basic questions and didn’t really seem to be trained at all. If craft beer is on the menu either have the details on a board or train your servers to know a bit about your beer and wines. My heritage is Portuguese and I cannot see how this is in any way Portuguese influenced food. Chicken was clearly reheated with sauce poured over it, grilled veggies and mashed potatoes were ok. Chicken was extremely dry and rubbery. Arrived way too quickly to be fresh. We only had two mains;a chicken bowl and grilled chicken meal. Weren’t compelled to try anything else. Underwhelming. Prices ok but quality not there. Not a good value.

After reading quite a few decent reviews and wanting to try this place for a while, we decided to give this place a shot a couple of weekends ago. It was a Friday evening around 7pm and the restaurant was nearly empty, with maybe one or two other tables occupied. We were greeted by a young woman who appeared to have been working the bar area. She seated us and didn't return until about 10 minutes later. I had a simple question about one of the beer choices that she couldn't answer. Not the biggest deal, I thought, as the menu had a lot of different food and drink selections.

She came back to take our orders a few minutes later. I ordered a chicken power bowl and my daughter ordered a BBQ pulled chicken sandwich with greens and spicy mayo. The food arrived in less than five minutes and was brought to our table by a different staff member who appeared to actually be the server. The sandwich was about lukewarm, chicken in the bowl about the same (to be expected from meat like pulled chicken which probably had been just kept warm for hours).

The food was decent, though a bit underwhelming given some of the earlier 'rave' reviews, especially from months ago. We didn't see the server again until we were trying to leave and wanted to settle the bill. I had to ask the hostess/bartender on my way back from the restroom who had to look for our server. The server brought our bill and asked "anything to say about your service?" and I basically had to bite my tongue.

Overall, we were slightly disappointed but glad we finally gave it a try. The ambiance was interesting, menu choices were varied and prices were fair given the current economic environment. Service was a tad lacking. Sad that this place seemed to have a lot of potential early on, but not sure what has happened in recent months. Seems like they have basically given up...

I will start out by saying I’m not a picky eater at all, I like McDonald’s, whatever. I decided to give these guys a try on skip on the weekend. I ordered their pesto pasta which is advertised as “gemeli pasta with a pesto cream sauce and chicken skewers” the pasta was spaghetti Alfredo (no pesto at all and a completely different noodle). They gave a little bit of sliced dry chicken not at all looking how the photo did. We also ordered the “crispy chicken wings” no where on skip are these listed as breaded, as well as online pictures don’t look to be breaded either, which they were. I wouldn’t have ordered them if I knew this but whatever. The sauce on them was not maple bbq as listed but a generic bbq sauce that was half on the wings half not and mostly just a pile of sauce in the bottom of the box. They smelled like Pizza Hut wings and tasted gross. The chicken quality was really weird. The only thing I liked from my order was the side of mashed potatoes I ordered. I also ordered a side of spiced rice and it came very dry and just not very good. This truly was lower quality than nandos and they are trying to be more upscale. Their food on online reviews for dine in look very good, however the take out was absolutely terrible and just not even what I ordered at all. They really need to update their menu to reflect what they are actually serving. This was not worth the price at all sadly, as I really wanted to support local but will likely not be a returning customer...

This is my third visit and I super disappointed with the service and food.

First and second visit were amazing that’s why we decided to take family here for the third time.

Service: the waiter made a mistake of the reservation. Our party have arrived but he took us to different table. We both are waiting for our parties to arrive. 20 mins after, we found out our parties were on the other side of table… no apology except smiles ??

Food: the quality has dramatically down graded it. Not sure if they change the chief ???? The presentation of the food looks much cheaper and not worth of the price. The good definitely microwave this time, not fresh made like my first and second visit. The fried were soft, not crunchy. The pasta was super creamy and heavy, chicken weren’t matching with flavor. Everything just super disappointing….. except the fried chicken wings were good…

Drink: I expected to be amazing cocktails when I pay for $14. No, it was really bad than last time. I’m not sure if they change the bartender too ???

Lastly, I made a note on the reservation regarding of birthday cakes. I have got a confirmation that it will happen but I have to request and reminder the waitress again in front of the birthday persons. ( kill the surprise and mood..)

I’m not sure what happened but the whole team seems to be very junior and not experiencing enough. If that’s the direction of the marketing then the price should reflect to junior price …..

We will not be...
