Mediocre place at best. They have very few exhibits and are mostly broken, it seems that they have been broken for a while and no one cares to fix it.
There was a small craft section, that is only reserved for summer camps, despite of lack of children in a place, the staff members make sure that no one touches the craft table.
Moreover after spending less than hour in place with fewer than several parties entering during the time, the staff members were sure to communicate that they forgot that we already paid for for 5 tickets, and as result lost our “in and out privilege.”
We will definitely not be coming back here, and by the looks of it seems, that others have came up with the same conclusion. This place has nothing left...
Read moreWe really enjoyed the Centre our first time there. That is, it illustrates the importance of the river, the sturgeon, and the impact that we have and may have according to our actions. What's more, we confirmed what a good choice we made by celebrating our son's 5th birthday party there, having the chance to share with our friends' families this exciting, hands-on experience, while learning, and being more and better aware of the Fraser River. Read moreSadly, the pandemic and all it's safety guidelines are declared over: masking is personal preference. But this place does not honor individual choice. I took five kids for an afternoon of discovery and exploration in New West and was told by this staff that if I did not put masks on all the kids, I should come back another day when they've decided to review their policy. Some kids can't do masking, so this certainly feels discriminatory for them. I've also taken these kids all over the place on field trips and not had this problem...
