The Anvil centre is pretty nice. Went there for an AGM. We were housed on the 3rd floor which included the use of the Theatre.
The theatre itself is a great place. The acoustics are great but we all found it to be too warm. It might have been because the theatre lights were left on throughout the entire AGM.
The third floor was also very warm. (it was a very warm and beautiful sunny morning in New Westminster) For some reason the A/C could not keep up with the heat of the place. I found myself heading down to the lobby to cool off as the lobby's temperature was several degrees cooler than the 3rd floor and even the underground parking.
The undergroumd parking was surprisingly clean and bright. Also incredibly hot. Parking prices were not bad at around $1/hr. It has a whole wall full of electrical charging stations (around 10-15). That is good infrastructure, early in the game of electric cars.

Read moreFrom the outside, The Anvil Centre to me is a beautifully constructed piece of architecture. The glass and angles make for awesome reflections of the surrounding building. In the evening time, the sun reflects off the building and casts many nice shadows. I have been into the theatre and convention area. The theater is a nice size with pleasant acoustics. It is a very comfortable space to be in and when the lights dim the stage is the focus regardless where you are seated. The amenities include one of the nicest restrooms I been in, and there is a small bar on the second floor which I have never seen get overly busy so your not long waiting to get a beer. There are lots of seats beside the windows onlooking Columbia St and 8th Street. The convention area is just that. I decent sized space that can hold a fair number of vendors. Other feature include a Community Art Space, The New Westminster Museum & Archives, and the Canadian Lacrosse Hall of Fame. Directly across from the New West Skytrain I highly recommend checking...
