Had a sloppy joes with fries and a coconut mango milk tea. Sloppy joes was not sloppy at all. This made the meat dry as there was barely any chili in it. Nothing dripping like a sloppy Joe’s is supposed to be. Bun was nice and soft though. Also, the fries were decent. Seasoning was a nice touch in combination with ketchup. The coconut mango milk tea was just that: coconut, mango bits (small amount), milk and… not sure where the tea part went. Just tasted like a glorified milk drink. Sorry folks, not a win for me, especially when it’s $18 all in. With some minor improvements, this could be a decent place. Service was prompt and fast so thanks to the staff for that.

ReUp is truly a great place. The owners Michael & Lindsay have a passion to serve and give people a great experience. My husband and I have been loyal customers of ReUp since before we got married-we even had them cater our wedding in August 2014. :) Now that we live downtown Van, we will make the trek because their amazing fried chicken alone is worth the 45mins! The veggie chili is hearty and goes great with the biscuit, the brisket is always soft, and the pulled pork is very moist. Consistent great tasting food, local and sustainable sources of meats, and wonderful service! 💪

Cute buzzer that makes you feel like a bomb went off let's you basically know when your food is ready asap, wait times 20mish the ribs was dry and only OK UNTIL you ask for sauce, for a full rack ask for 4 sauce dips cause seriously our ribs were dry. The sauce unlocked the true flavor palettes intended by the head chef. I wish we asked for sauce earlier instead of mid way, ASK FOR THE SAUCE!! I imagine the lack of sauce is either due to laziness, it being cooked off or complaints but the sauce recovered this review. Good stuff.

Rude staff and not COVID-friendly at all. We went around 11:30a on a Wednesday - just two of us and there was no line up. There were two staff - one was a trainee. We ordered a poutine and a 1/2 rack of smoked ribs. There was only one order ahead of us and the customer seemed to have waited quite a long time because we overheard them asking about their order. We waited about 30 minutes before going up to ask the staff how much longer our food was going to be and one of the staff responded saying our ribs were still in the oven. By then, we had already observed both staff members touching everything including the food without any gloves (taking orders and picking up the phone and then going back to prepare the food with their bare hands) and the trainee even took out his personal cellphone in the kitchen and was touching his phone for some time while preparing the food?? We then asked if it usually takes over half an hour to heat a one-person serving of ribs to which the staff rudely responded “well unless you want your food cold.” ??? This is a fast food restaurant in a food court, if your food is going to take over half an hour, please give your customers a heads up when they order because they do not expect their food to take an upwards of 30 minutes for a two-person meal.

We then asked for a refund to which the staff offered a “half” refund when we didn’t even get our food. We demanded a full refund because we weren’t comfortable with eating the food they prepared with their bare hands all the while touching everything else. When we commented that we noticed they weren’t practicing sanitary standards while preparing the food, the staff responded by saying “if you’re not comfortable then don’t eat out.” Just unbelievable, please save your time and money and avoid this place at all cost. Not sure if they changed management recently but this place is not what...

A few weeks ago I wrote a review, giving Re Up BBQ 2 Stars. The Manager, Kam, tried to reach out to me a couple of times but somehow I missed him. Today I saw him and we had a really good talk. When he saw my review he’s been working hard to resolve the issues. This is a person who cares about the restaurants he manages, who cares about the quality of the food that is served, who cares about his customers. Knowing this we will continue to go to Re Up and tell our friends and families about this place at the Quay. Thank you Kam.

I wrote this review a few weeks ago, with 2 Stars... Disappointed 3 times in a row. I have been ordering from them in the past year and a half but they have been extremely inconsistent lately. Ordered dinner for my parents and the pit beans tasted watery and bland. We threw out three orders of pit beans. I told Re Up and they just said Oh. 2nd time, I ordered the bucket of chicken and when it was ready one of the staff gave my order to the wrong customer right in front of me. The cook just apologized and I had to wait for another 35 mins for another batch of chicken to be fried. And they didn’t even try to compensate for the mistake by giving me an extra chicken or something. 3rd time, I ordered the bucket of chicken again, with this amazing coleslaw slathered in this spicy vinegary rich flavour. It was dry and bland. And the Chicken tasted bland too! I couldn’t taste anything. It was like eating a chicken from 7 eleven. I know if I go back and tell them about the coleslaw and chicken they will just say oh, sorry. This happened 3 times in a row. No small businesses can afford to be so inconsistent at this time. Very very disappointing. I am trying to support these small businesses. I even tip them, with...

I've eaten here about a half dozen times over the last few years. Overall the service has been subpar but the food was good enough for me to overlook this. Unfortunately on our last visit this past weekend both the food and the service seemed to have taken a dive. The girl working the counter was practically ignoring us as we were waiting to order. It's one thing to be busy doing something, but you can at least acknowledge that you will come help when you're done your current task. Instead she went and answered a take out call before finally acknowledging us. Her overall attitude was pretty negative, I hope for her sake she was just having a one off bad day. We saw several other customers express their exasperation as they seemed to be frustrated by the long wait and poor service as well.

Our go-to order is the brisket poutine which in the past has always been a large portion size with a good amount of brisket. This time it was much smaller with only shreds of dry brisket. Maybe it has something to do with the rising food costs the world is experiencing, but it was enough of a drop in size and quality that we don't plan on returning to Re Up anytime soon. Overall quite disappointed as this used to be a bit of treat we'd...
