This monument is located in Place D'armes Park, In the middle of the park is a Gothic fountain on which stands the Faith Monument (monument de la Foi) commemorating the three hundredth anniversary of the arrival of the Recollet Fathers in Québec. It’s surrounded by many restaurants, including the Chic Shack, and it overlooks the lower portion of Old Town.
In 1915, a monument dedicated to faith was erected in homage to the Recollets, the first religious order to be established in New France (1615).
