The restaurant was very cozy and warm. However, it took them a long time to seat us—even though we were the only ones there and had a reservation, we still had to wait 15 minutes for someone to attend to us.
That being said, the breakfast was amazing—our eggs were cooked exactly as requested, and the crêpes and waffles were delicious.
In Quebec, many restaurants have small light cubes on the table that you can turn on when you’re ready to order or need service. We didn’t know about them at first and were wondering why no one was taking our order. But even after we figured it out, I don’t think the staff really paid much attention to them because the service was still slow—which, to be fair, was the case everywhere we went in Quebec, not just at this restaurant.
Despite the slow service, we had a great breakfast experience, so we decided to come back for dinner as well.
We ordered a mojito, but they were out of mint—which, funny enough, seemed to be the case at every restaurant in Quebec! I guess they just don’t have mint in the winter and always say, “We ran out.” Lol.
For food, we ordered nachos, which were very tasty, and the mushroom burger, which was essentially a cheeseburger with mushrooms—and it was heavenly. I was already full and wasn’t planning to eat my burger, but oh my gosh, I couldn’t resist!
I highly recommend this restaurant, but make sure to book in advance—the first time we tried to go, they couldn’t seat us, so we had to make a reservation for...

The washrooms were not well maintained. Soap and paper towels in the dispensers had run out. I brought this to the attention of a staff during my first visit to their washroom, and I requested a refill. He acknowledged my request- but later when I returned to use the washroom, there was still no soap nor paper towels.
My group waited for our orders for over an hour. It was not particularly busy. When I asked a staff around the hour mark after waiting, he told me he would look into it and we never heard from him again.
Our waitress was very kind and helpful. However, no one came to refill our waters until we asked. Twice. There was no food and no water for most of our time at the restaurant.
The calamari and warm brie appies were good. The brie was especially well garnished with the perfect notes of fruity and savoury. The calamari was also good- they were fried to a perfect crisp and not drenched in oil.
I ordered the crispy chicken poutine with thai sauce and was quite disappointed. The fries were incredibly soggy from when the dish came out. The chicken was crisped well and the thai sauce worked well with the chicken, but it did not work well with the gravy. There were very few cheese curds. Overall, my main dish experience...

The strawberry flambee was really good, as well as the benedictine. The fries are awesome, all you can eat.
The Waffle combo with eggs…well, the waffle was overtoasted and dry. Waffles are supposed to be as soft as pancakes! It got messy trying to cut with a knife so I did not go through it much.
Service fell short. We saw our waiter once when we placed our order, then when food was delivered and lastly for the check.
There is a cube to be pressed if service is needed, and did 3 times, we needed water and ask again for a side that never made it to the table. No one showed up.
Ordered a side canadian bacon, never made it other than in the check. Got my coffee wrong (was a capuccino, and got an espresso sized with foam) I mentioned it when the food was delivered. The answer I got was that I could order another coffee, but it was regular and more milk (at my expense from what I understood)
Found it incredible, since lattes are priced the same as smoothies, but the smoothies come in 12+ oz glasses, this “capuccino” was less than 4oz (see the pictures!)
Anyhow, the place is nicely decorated, there is a lot of fun vibe. I was planning on going back the next day, but perhaps i’ll try...
