I live just two minutes away from this facility and had high hopes of finding a safe and fun place for my children. I have two kids, aged 3 and 5, who are currently receiving professional swim training and are able to swim confidently without floatation devices. They always follow the rules and wear their vests when required.
Today, I paid $30 for a wave swim, and honestly, I am appalled. Not only is the price inconsistent every visit—with no clear standard—but the value received is beyond unreasonable. The wave pool is entirely unsuitable for small children, who are effectively barred from enjoying it, even when all safety measures are followed.
The environment inside the facility is chaotic and stressful. There are constant loud announcements, fire alarms going off, and staff members yelling across the pool. Instead of guidance or polite communication, we were met with aggression and condescension. One staff member even threatened to remove us from the premises, which is absolutely unacceptable. You can review your security footage to confirm this behavior.
To make matters worse, after leaving the pool, both of my children suffered from severe eye irritation and redness for two full days, which raises serious concerns about water quality and health safety.
I have traveled to over 50 countries and visited countless community pools around the world. I have never encountered a place this poorly managed, this disrespectful, or this stressful. Staff speak to adults as if they were toddlers. It is clear that your team needs urgent training—not just in swimming safety, but in human relations, child psychology, communication, and crisis management.
And let’s not forget the outrageous pricing. With what I paid today, I could have taken my children to Canada’s Wonderland, where the entry fee includes an entire day of unlimited rides, wave pools, and family-friendly entertainment. This place is just a small community pool, yet it charges more and offers much, much less.
I will not be returning, and I strongly advise other families to avoid this facility. There are far better, more affordable, and more respectful options...
Read moreSo FIRST TIME EVER going to the wave pool and we brought our two children along with us that were both under the age of five, not only did we have some teenage lifeguard straight up screaming at us because we didn't automatically know that the kids were not allowed to have a floaty device (Even one from home just to play with) in the kids pool, on top of which I set my child down for 3 seconds in order put on a life jacket to bring them into the bigger pool to experience the wavs, once again the same lifeguard decided to not tell us or explain to us but just full on scream at us, like we were children to the point where her coworker literally told her to back off because I was just setting her there for 2 seconds so that I could do up the life jacket! Afterwards when we brought our children back into the LITTLE KIDS pool every single time that they shut off the waves ( 4X ) you are bombarded with teenagers and full grown adults coming into the little kids pool throwing stuff around being rude and obnoxious to the point they ran over not only one of my children but two of somebody else's kids!!! And Did the lifeguards or parents do anything? NO! IT WAS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! FOR OUR FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE PAYING 2O+ DOLLARS TO GO SWIMMING HERE I WILL NEVER BE RETURNING WHEN THERE ARE SEVEN OTHER POOLS IN THE AREA I COULD TAKE MY CHILDREN TO THAT THEY WILL BE NOT ONLY 10 TIMES SAFER BUT ALSO HAVE 10 TIMES MORE FUN AND CHEAPER!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR...
Read moreMy advice to parents is to stay close to your children if they are not strong swimmers regardless if they are tall enough to touch bottom in he deep end...I recently attended a party and was needed in the pool to help surpervise the kids in our group. In the chaos if heads bobbing everywhere and not always knowing which kid was with "us" I watched everyone around me. Luckily so as a girl of around 11 in the deep end and was overtaken by the big waves and couldn't pull herself up high enough to get a good breath....I saw her panic and struggle and then start to go under. I managed to help her by reaching out with a floaty. I looked up to see if any of the 5 life guards in our area had noticed and NOT ONE was looking in our direction. The girl was ok but what if I hadn't noticed.....anyway stay with your child at all times. The current is quite strong especially by the walls. I would not recommend this as a party idea for kids under 10 that are not good swimmers. Touching the bottom doesn't matter in this...
