Absolutely love this place. I just recently moved to Richmond with my girlfriend and we live about 5 minutes from the harbour but it is by far one of my favorite places in Vancouver. The harbour and surrounding area has a little bit of everything for everyone. Parks and activities for both adults and kids. Beautiful views of the boats, harbour, mountains off in the distance. Great sunsets. And like I said they have everything within walking distance. Always lots of people walking around with smiles. It's also not too hipster-ish like other parts of Van. Ugh! The Britannia Brewing Company is right down by the harbour which is an amazing little restaurant with lots of delicious seasonal meals and drinks as well as craft beers. And of course there is always the Buck and Ear which is a fun place to finish off the end of an already, somewhat, rough night lol. Just a fun little area with lots to do for everyone. Lots of shops. Restaurants. Ramen spots. Fresh seafood. Seasonal and local menus. Ice cream. Tattoo parlours. Parks. Views. Attractive...

Wonderful spot down on the water on the south section of Richmond. Lots and lots of history in this little village - from the early fishing Era - boat building right through the Industrial age where people were replaced with machines.the East section of the village will entertain you with original buildings which were involved in the early years fishing related industries. Check to make sure this section is staffed and open - very interesting to see where and how people lived and worked. The main village has restaurants - one off retail shops with quality items - coffee - desert shops - wih enough variety to keep a professional shopper happy.make sure you go down to the fishing docks and see the fresh caych of the day..then to the west of that you must visit the OLD Canery where he fish were...

We love Stevenson Harbour and we love fresh seafood, so we were out the door before New Year in other words during Chrimbo Limbo, thinking to buy seafood and have a lunch while we were there. Only two ladies at the fish market braved the VERY cold weather and when we walked through the village later to get a bite, there was very little open, disappointingly. I know we all want to have Xmas, but I was really surprised that after Xmas when people are ready to get out for fresh air that this place was virtually shut down. Admittedly we were in a minority during our wanderings, but was this because everybody knows 'nothing to see here' during this period or because nobody gets out to stretch their legs and spend a...

This is one of the most popular tourist area if you visiting Vancouver. It's a place with fresh seafood and many good restaurants. A lovely place for a walk and take some good pictures. The sunset is pretty too. The spring and fall season are better for locals since the parking is not a problem. The wharf is selling fresh different seafood depends on the season. May is the month for spot prawn. Locals love to get the most fresh prawn from the wharf. There are some cruise for whale watching in summer.

Steveston is a fabulous place to visit. With its many unique shops to wonderful places to eat, there is everything for all ages. It is steeped in history, as a fishing village it was and still is used by many fishermen. You can buy fresh seafood right off the boats as they come in from a day of fishing. The cannery is another one of the attractions, as well the historical part of the village that has been restored to it's original condition. Great food, wonderful beaches and walking paths!

I'm not sure what's going on there but I was horrified to see all this garbage drifting into the RIVER! I tried to communicate with SEVERAL people but NOBODY CARED! shameful! disgusting! I will not support this place.. Ever! If you are as worried about all the plastics in and trash flowing into OUR Rivers and oceans from Canada (non third world country) YOU will be as motivated as I am to FORCE them to take proper care of OUR waterways! IF YOU SEE THIS.. PLEASE POST!
