Steveston Pizza Co. is a little no-frills pizza joint that offers a big taste. All their pizzas come in a single size (12 inch) but they have an amazing assortment of pizza options. They offer some crazy creative options and sure enough, they seem to be the most popular.
We call in at around 12:30PM on a Sunday afternoon and they already seemed very busy (having just opened at 12:00PM). We placed an order for the Princess and was told it would be ready at 1:00PM. We arrived early at 12:45 PM and the little restaurant front they had was packed full of waiting customers. When 12:59 rolled around, our pizza was ready.
The Princess pizza is packed full of tiger prawns, crab, essence of pernod, tomatoes, and fennel salsa. In addition to what they say in their description, there is also smoked salmon and even more shrimp. The tiger prawns, oh my days, are large and juicy. They are cooked fresh and are cut so you have ease of access from their shells. Every bite you take there is just such an amazing combination of flavours. The cheese was amazing as was the crust. It was just the perfect melted and burnt cheese that you always crave for when eating a pizza. Our only qualm was that the middle was a bit soggy because the tiger prawns were assembled in the middle.
We would generally be able to eat a 12 inch pizza without feeling totally full but because this was so packed full of quality ingredients, we didn't even finish it. We save the rest and packed it up for a snack later on.
Steveston Pizza Co. is take out only. There are two seats inside the restaurant but seeing how busy it gets, I would not recommend dining in there. Fortunately, there are lots of benches and picnic tables right across the street. The service was good and the timing was perfect. The cashier was friendly and efficient and everyone working there had their specific roles.
We would highly recommend their Princess pizza and we will be sure to be back to try their...
Read moreHonestly forgot exactly what happened in my past interactions but had left a meh impression of this place even before the most recent incident.
I’ve ordered pre-Covid and the staff was pretty rude in their interactions while I was waiting and during Covid they were even worse. Once my friend and I ordered two pizzas and the first one was okay and the second one (forgot which one it was, might not offer it anymore) which was one featuring all veggies was super gross, mushy, and not appetizing at all. I didn’t really bother to leave a review then because I’m like eh taste is subjective and I guess customer service doesn’t need to be amazing for a pizza place.
Today my dad dropped by and he’s not super fluent with English and doesn’t know too much about pizza so he asked for a recommendation. They recommended him “The Serpent” stating it was “the most popular”. However, my dad was SHOCKED when the pizza was ready he went to pay. The owner or worker failed to mention that it was a $110 pizza. My dad even remarked “Wow that’s expensive I thought it would be 20 or 40 dollars max” and the owner/worker did not respond or apologize.
I am now eating a slice of the $110 pizza and it’s really not good. There’s a lack of flavour and it’s just a pile of seafood on top of mediocre pizza. The center of the pizza was super mushy and it needed more salt and tomato sauce. Also a thick layer of mushy potato slices is not a good...
Read moreWe discovered this place by accident. While looking for a tea place around the area, we saw this group eating a never seen before type of pizza in a nearby park.We were intrigued by its size, aroma and especially strange looking haha seafood type of pizza. It took us 1 min to go across the street and witness our highlight of the day. We were greated right away by very friendly people and it seemed everyone was really good at their job. We loved to watch them prepare their work of art, while we were trying to make our decission and then one happy customer came in to grab his to go box..it was love at first sight...the Princess in its full glory:) They were a little busy and many customers were leaving the order and then go to have a cold beer to the restaurants near by ( probably an Irish Pub). My husband and I, checked out this super cute local coffee shop, another must try. Getting back to the pizza, our princess :) probably I don't have enough words in my vocab to describe how this pizza was: the smell, the texture, the vivid coloring and taste trilled us to the max.Super big already cleaned juicy prawns, smoked salmon, great cheese and perfectly baked crust!! Pure madness...and a MUST TRY!! We couldn't finish the pizza and we were really hungry, so I believe 3 persons can easily share one pizza. Definitely you must stop by and enjoy this delicious...
