Edit** July 2022 Review
I have visited Land Mark 8 times since writing this review. What was a really pleasant customer service experience turned into a big lazy let down. It seems the pandemic resurgence has been depleted.
Here is what I noticed. Terribly Under Staffed- why are there only 3 associates operating the concessions on a Sunday. The line uo was almost to the door. This happened 3/8 times.s
Rude Team Members- Extreme drop in thr attitude of Land Mark team members. Not smiling anymore, rush us through the line, don't explain things and roll their eyes when we have a request. No "Thank you" or "enjoy your show". This is a big 360 from previous.
No Pizza - 4/8 times the pizza was not made. Come on!
Dirty- place looks alot more dirty than before. Walls are all smudged and dented. Bathrooms have grime in the corners.
March 2021 Review
I have been going to this theatre for probably that last 22 years. Much has changed, even new owners. However the experience never fails to disappoint.
I was extremely surprised Landmark took the plunge during the pandemic to renovate and upgrade to electric recliners and better sound.
This is exactly why I keep coming back instead of renting / streaming at home. The experience is awesome!
Very clean and looked after, the men's bathroom always smells great. Very clean, could use some light touch ups on holes in walls and screws missing.
The reason I am docking 1 star is because the food is extremely over priced for what it is and the effort that is taken. Their profit margin is probably through the roof. I get it , it's how the company makes money. However, these huge charges are passed onto the customer. When you have kids, the bill gets eye watering high.
I would suggest lowering the price 20% and you will make up this up...
Read moreI visited Landmark Cinema at the Pen Centre a couple of weeks ago to watch Wicked, and the overall experience was fantastic!
Service: The staff were exceptional—kind, patient, and helpful. We had a bit of a complicated situation, which I’ll explain shortly, but even when they needed to involve a manager, they remained friendly and professional the entire time. Their service made what could have been a stressful moment feel seamless.
Food: The popcorn was everything you’d expect from movie popcorn—classic, buttery, and somehow even tastier, like they added a little something extra. I also got a drink, and since I used a Costco coupon, the value for me and my partner was excellent.
Seating & Atmosphere: We opted for the premier seating, and it was amazing. The seats were incredibly comfortable, making the entire movie experience feel luxurious. I loved having a blanket while watching—it added an extra cozy touch. The sound was crisp and immersive, and the screen was bright and beautiful, enhancing every moment of the film.
Customer Support: The real standout for me was how they handled a mistake I made when booking. I had accidentally reserved tickets for the wrong date. When I called to ask about changing it, the manager I spoke with was incredibly understanding and easy to work with. They helped me switch to the correct date without any hassle, which I really appreciated. At the counter, the staff were well-informed about my situation and made the process quick and pleasant.
I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Since I live nearby, this will always be my go-to cinema. Highly...
Read moreThe worst experience my minor daughter had. Last weekend, exactly Saturday, my daughter and her friends decided to go to the movies and share together; My husband and I took my daughter to the 10:00 pm performance; Everything was going well until my daughter decided to go to the bathroom, then she and some of her friends went out with her, my daughter tells me that they were recording videos for TikTok and playing, maybe talking harshly, (Normal, they are teenagers) and at that point moment, a short woman with blonde hair arrived, and scolded her and her friends and did not let them enter the movie theater anymore. The movie was not over yet, she treated them badly, she yelled at them, and the worst thing is that they I took her out onto the street at 11:30 pm, my daughter and her defenseless friends begged me not to take them out because it was very dangerous and cold but this woman didn't want to, it only made her feel humiliated, discriminated against, she exposed my daughter to what something bad would happen to her, I left her "safe" inside the cinema and found her on the street. I understand that it was wrong that they played, and that it made other people uncomfortable, but I DO NOT accept that LANDMARK CINEMAS has exposed my daughter, who is only 13 years old, to the dangers of the night, and that it has discriminated against her, this is unacceptable and I will take action on the...
