Edit- January 5, 2025 I have to say Grande cheese your current management dropped the ball on my last visit to your orfus store. My family who have been customers for over 60 years- grande delivered back in the day to the inner city italian neighbourhoods and "Nicola" was part of the family- thats how long we have been supporters of Grande cheese- but last year we have noticed a big difference in the workers, quality and experiences at this location. Last 2 years i was purchasing party size pizzas on average twice a month - minimum 2 party or extra large party....service for church functions , quality have declined enormously , your kitchen has changed drastically - what was the straw that broke the camels back? $2.00 and the "current"mgr - (one that was working there previously has been relocated to your woodbridge store and thats too bad as they were true customer service mgr). I have not stepped foot in your store since and will never again. After 60 plus years of supporting you grande ( endorse local and have recommended) , it ends here. If you want to hear about how $2.00 and the mgr contributed to this decision, feel free to reach out to me to explain...

If it is found on an Italian dinner table, or is in an Italian recipe then Grande Cheeze sells it. Probably the widest selection of cheese products anywhere in the GTA...or in Canada for that matter. Almost every variety you could want at a very fair price. They also have a large selection of charcuterie, olives, oils, vinegars, pickles, pasta, jams, biscuits, cookies, coffee, candy and more. Most products are sold in various sizes including what could be considered bulk (buying a large tin of olive oil here will save you a bundle rather than several smaller bottles at the supermarket). They have their own bakery so always fresh Italian style bread and rolls for sale. There is a very large selection of frozen fish products at much lower than supermarket prices. There is also a dairy section. The staff are always friendly and helpful and the store is bright and clean. There are handicap parking spots available, and I believe the store would be considered wheelchair accessible. They have their own small parking lot which is often crowded but never really a problem. This is a busy store so plan...

On our first visit we were extremely excited to see all the different cheeses and Italian products. We bought a pizza slice which was amazing. The second time we went for pizza it was not great despite it being fresh out of the oven.

We got a few cheeses and was extremely disappointed to find out they were all terrible. We found a balderson truffle cheese that we usually buy from Loblaws but the one from here had a different texture and went bad quickly, as if maybe it was frozen and then defrosted quickly. We tried another country cheese that had already gone bad despite the expiry date being a couple weeks away. We also bought a 15 dollar cost truffle cheese and it was bland with no truffle taste. The only good thing was the block of parmesan we got which was good value.

Also we bought a canned product and realized later that the price was higher than it said on the shelf. The staff was great with handling it and refunded us. Maybe it was just bad luck and we picked the wrong cheeses but the experience literally left a bad taste in our mouths and we sadly won't be coming back for the...

Mostly a review of the La Cucuna Market within the Grande Cheese store. I was hungry and I asked for the pasta, which was sitting, mostly full in the hot table. I was told they’re not serving it but I could have a pizza. So, fine, I asked for the “meat lovers.” I have to put it in quotes because at best literally the cubes of meat were so small and I had to hunt for it. The slice of “pizza” (flat bread with barely any sauce and skimpy cheese - for being in a deli and cheese store it was embarrassing) was cold. What’s the point of it being under the heat lamps at a hot food service? The box I was given was dirty ON THE INSIDE with not my food. And the man behind the counter was rude and generally unpleasant. I do like the store for the cheeses, which is the only reason I have it 2 stars, but would never buy anything from the premade section again.

October 6, 2023 Is it acceptable to say "they cut the cheese"? Because, I must say, this place was a haven for cheese enthusiasts! The variety on offer was truly exceptional. It's an absolute must-visit for anyone who adores cheese. In addition to their impressive cheese selection, they also had a wide assortment of salami, olives, and various other finger foods, making it an ideal destination for both everyday snacking and party preparations. The store is impressively well-organized and impeccably clean, enhancing the overall experience.

So not happy and fed up with this company that won’t respond to messages. When you call them. Today I drove through traffics for 45 minutes on Wednesday evening to arrive at 5:00 pm as we needed cheese for an event the doers were locked. The store says it’s open till 6pm so we are stuck without a menu item for an out of town event. I tried to call the store and they just picked up and hung up without responding.
