Hillsong Church - Toronto — Attraction in Toronto

I don't write a ton of reviews but just had to after visiting Hillsong Toronto!

My family and I were visiting family an hour from Hillsong, Toronto, but we had always wanted to go and visit a Hillsong Church as there is not one close to where I live.

We went for the Christmas Eve Service. We were immediately greeted at the front door. As we entered the waiting area for the service, different members came up and introduced themselves and made us feel so welcome! Jon came and spoke with me (who, at the time, I had no idea was the pastor) and was just so welcoming and warm!!

We then went into the church, and as expected, the music and message were terrific!!

They even gave some attendees gifts based on some questions, and Jon and Ange selected my daughter as a recipient! This was utterly unexpected especially since they knew we were from out of town and wouldn't return as we live in another country! Who does that!? Who gives someone a gift knowing they will not be able to join their church at the end?! Hillsong Toronto!! That's who!! (And no, the gift is not the reason I am writing this review. I would have written either way, as it was just an amazing and welcoming place!)

If I lived in Toronto, I would absolutely make this my church! I have never felt so welcome on an initial visit to a church as I did here!! If I ever come back to Toronto, I will definitely come here and visit this amazing church community!!

Others coming into overflow 10 minutes after I arrived went in. A gentleman arrived, sat in front of me, and was asked inside 10+ minutes after my arrival.

I have come to regular services. I didn't attend lunch with family so I'd attend service. It ended up being a complete waste of time. When I've reached out to the church, they don't respond. Response is only updating services, locations, and times.

What a waste of time coming on Easter 😑 They tell you that if they have seats, they let you inside from the waiting area.

We had the incredible experience of attending the Hillsong church service for the first time last Sunday, and we couldn't have been more impressed. From the moment we walked in, we felt truly at home. The welcoming atmosphere and positive energy were a real blessing to us. We can't wait to come back!
