My experience with Leons has been so awful, and I would not recommend anyone shop with them if they'd like quality furniture.
-Sales Rep (Shan) - WOULD NOT RECOMMEND: I visited in the early part of 2023 because I was moving into my house in May 2023. I went in with my husband and spent a few hours looking through their furniture options, and actually found a few deals/items that we liked. We interacted with a sales rep (Sutharshan, who also goes by "Shan"), who helped us process our almost $20,000 order. When paying for my order with the cashier, I was assured that I could cancel items if I changed my mind anytime before the shipping process started. After our visit, I also visited The Brick and a few other places, and actually ended up canceling a couch set and tempur-pedic mattress that we had chosen from Leons. After a day or two of my cancelations, I got a call from Shan who essentially scolded me on the phone for the cancelations and stated that it looked like I'd cancel the whole order "at the rate I was going". I do not know if he took some liberties because I am Sri Lankan Tamil and he was too, but he went on to chide me because he had "spent so much time with me" and was so disappointed that I had been canceling items. I let him know that I have every right to cancel items as I am the one paying the bill. I also reminded him that I was also spending HOURS at Leons that day, and I was not being paid to be there like he was. He eventually hung up, but I was so annoyed that he thought he could bully me into re-purchasing or preventing me from canceling anything else. Mind you, at the end of it all, I was still paying a good $14,000-$15,000 for other items. VERY SELFISH AND UNPROFESSIONAL, AND I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HIS SERVICES.
-Storm 6-piece Dining Set(23768216): I would not recommend this table. I found that the legs become very wobbly every 1-2 months, and have to be re-tightened. This is actually noted when we received the assembly instructions, but if I had known this before purchasing, I would not have bought this item. To top it off, the surface is not heat resistant, which is pretty unbelievable for a dining table. If you place any warm items on the table (even through a coaster), it leaves marks on the surface finish which does not come off easily. I only use my table for company (which is only a handful of times per year), and the paint has chipped from that minimal amount of use. Not at all long-lasting or sturdy, as advertised.
-King Bedroom Set (6PC KING BEDROOM PACKAGE - SKU does not even find the item anymore on their website, so I imagine that it's been discontinued): This King Bed frame was a nightmare! I should have been alerted that something was wrong when the customer service was so poor when I first received the items. I opened the assembly kit to find a bag of screws meant to be screwed in to hold the slats in place. We attempted one screw and quickly found that the screw wasn't even long enough to go through the slat, much less go into the wood below the slat. I called customer service and they said that's the only screw that comes with the bed set, and that they had no other options available. I have had the bed since Aug/Sep 2023 (when it was delivered to my home after ordering it months prior), and it is now Dec 2024. In the time that I have had it, I have noted that the weightbearing center beam does not fit in the metal attachment (found on the foot- and head-board). We have had to take the mattress/box springs off 2-3 times in the last 1.5 years, just to fix the center beam, as it was either coming out of the metal holders or the provided legs had come out. The beam has bent out of it's straight shape, and just 2 months ago, the metal attachment in the headboard broke right off. When it broke off, that is when we realized that the metal attachment was actually attached to PARTICLE BOARD, and it was not nailed/screwed in. Instead, it was STAPLED IN. I am so appalled at the quality of this frame, as we paid a sizeable price for this set.
I would never advise anyone...
Read moreWe just purchased a power reclining love seat and this is our honest review.
Salesperson was knowledgeable and friendly in the store.
Delivery was not professional, they unboxed it in the public hallway and then lifted it on its side and then pushed it over the carpeted public hallway floor before putting it on a dolly. Then they manhandled it over our door threshold on a strapless dolly by ramming it over the door threshold. Dolly straps are needed to control the movement with ease and control which they don’t know. Then one person turned it and lifted it solely upside down on the floor to install the legs. While the other person cleaned up the hallway and brought in the cushions and pilled them on top of each other. I noticed drywall powder on the bottom corner of the love seat which was odd because it just came out of a box and so I wiped it off in front gently after I mentioning this to the delivery person and it was then we noticed the love seat was damaged and missing leather from where it hit the wall in the hallway I presume. We immediately took pictures of the damage with the delivery person in the picture. He said he would send in a report for the damage and then left quickly and didn’t give us time to inspect the rest of it. It was weird they didn’t have us sign anything and that they would just leave the product like that instead of taking it back! Who wants a damaged product that u paid good money for! After quickly inspecting it we noticed the leather was scuffed on the side it was pushed on the hallway carpeted floor. So we took pictures of that too. Then we noticed the entire left side was lopsided and took pictures of that.
We immediately called the store and spoke to the front clerks and they refused to tell us what the policy is or what the normal procedures for delivery are. Apparently, no one knows what to do and everyone there is untrained and new😫 and it’s not their fault.
Then we spoke to the same salesperson who said he would put another love seat on hold for us to be delivered to us which he 100% lied about so don’t trust the sales people they don’t know how to get things done correctly and they just lie to get you off the phone. We explained we wanted to talk to someone who knows what they were doing because no one seemed to know what to do and what the policy’s are and he said he would transfer us to someone knowledgeable. At the end of the day we were transferred to someone who was new and untrained! It was days before we followed up with them to get a response. All they do is take their time and purposely stall, stall, and more stalling to make you keep the damaged product!
They made arrangements to deliver the new love seat but then called cancel a few days before hand to say it was sold and it would now be 6-8 weeks. The same sales person who sold us the love seat who we talked to about the damage did not put a hold on the new love seat for us like he said that he would! The store manager didn’t put the love seat on hold for us. None of the front clerks put a hold on the love seat for us either. They run a furniture business like it’s brand new to them with no experience on running a furniture business or putting items on hold!
The store manager has still not resolved the situation and it has been weeks!!! All he does is blame it on people who are new.
At the end of the day, we have a damaged love seat that is worthless to us and we want a full refund!
Terrible experience. No one is professional. No one knows what they’re doing. Everyone is untrained. Excuse. Excuse. And more...
Read moreOrdered a fridge and dishwasher was told 6-8 weeks at the earliest then on the Monday of the long weekend at 3pm I get a call after only a week and half of waiting that they are delivering next day. No warning no notice after being told lucky if in 8 weeks we see it to having to take the day off for delivery clean out the old fridge and get everything ready. Then at the store we were told that they could install the dishwasher and that we would get a call the day or next day once it was delivered to get our install done within the next day or so. Funny enough no call so I had to call the store they tried to transfer me to customer service who was not answering the phone took 3 times of back and forth to finally be asked for my number someone would call me back. Finally after waiting a few hours we got a call back. I asked about the install and how come no one called me only to be told that they could pass the message on to the people who install or I can call myself so I asked for the number. Of course now by the time I waited and was finally given the number they were closed. I called the next day only to get a woman answer who very condescending told me that I should have called as soon as I got my delivery date because now the first available appointment is not until Monday into the next week. I explained I was off this week is there no way I could be scheduled for this week only to be told if I didn’t want Monday she could give me later in the same week which again I asked I am home this week not next week anyway you can check to see if you can squeeze it in. She again said in a condescending tone that had I called when I got my delivery date there may have been. Again I expained that I was told at the store someone would call and it would be installed 1-2 days after delivery but now I have to wait 6 days while the dishwasher sits in my hallway. Well we get a text message Sunday night after 10pm from a random number saying someone would be arriving Monday between 1-4pm another day off and we wait. The gentleman just showed up at 4:30pm after the window and didn’t install it says he is not a plumber and the way the old one was installed he can’t install the new one as he is not a plumber and this requires a plumber? So why did we pay for installation when he can’t do the work? I have no idea why Leon’s would send a non plumber to install a dishwasher. I tried calling the store no one answers it goes to voicemail so I left a message for a call back as I obviously want my money back and need to now arrange a real installer who is a plumber to do it. As of yet no phone call. The gentleman who came didn’t seem to want to do anything and my husband had to practically beg the guy who came to actually check to see if he could install it as he was asking us all kinds of questions about the installation of the current dishwasher which we know nothing about as we bought the house with the dishwasher installed. So my experience with Leon’s horrible and best and still waiting for a phone call. It’s actually a shame as my family always considered Leon’s a great store with excellent service it has...
