McCowan District Park, it is an excellent recreational facility that offers a range of amenities and activities for the community to enjoy. The park is located in a beautiful natural setting, with vast green spaces, walking trails, sports fields, playgrounds, and picnic areas.

One of the park's highlights is its free skating rink, which is open to the public during the winter months. The rink is well-maintained, and skaters of all skill levels can enjoy the ice. It is an excellent opportunity for families and friends to enjoy a fun and healthy activity without having to worry about the cost.

Aside from the skating rink, McCowan District Park has plenty to offer visitors. The park is clean, safe, and well-maintained, making it a great destination for families, groups, and individuals. The park's amenities cater to a diverse range of interests and needs, from sports enthusiasts to those who simply want to relax and enjoy nature.

Overall, McCowan District Park is a great recreational facility that offers a range of activities and amenities for the community to enjoy. The city's decision to offer free skating is a testament to their commitment to promoting healthy living and community engagement. If you're looking for a fun and affordable day out, McCowan District Park is definitely...

I really like the new skate trail at the park. I'd never been to this nearby park until the trail opened. The heated changeroom next to the trail is well appointed and fully set up for walking around with your skates on (rubberized floors extend into the bathrooms). There is a drinking fountain/water bottle filling station. Bring your own snacks and thermos. The trail itself isn't terribly long but it's been thoughtfully designed. It's a loop with a garden in the centre with plants chosen that have winter appeal. There are benches and landscape rocks around the loop to sit and take a rest. There are also skating aids available for learning skaters. The rink gets flooded 4x a day, according to the posted sign. Plenty of free parking. No skate...

THERE'S TWO BEAUTIFUL SKATING RINKS SET UP AT THIS PARK WHERE YOU CAN GO SKATING BY YOURSELF OR WITH YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS OR LOVED ONES. IT'S SET UP BY THE CITY OF TORONTO. THE STAFF ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND ORGANIZED ALSO THERE ARE PUBLIC WASHROOMS PROVIDED AND A PARK ON SITE. THE ONLY THING IS WHEN YOU WANT TO GO SKATING MAKE SURE THAT YOU BOOK IN ADVANCE THROUGH THE CITY OF TORONTO. AND IT'S BRING YOUR OWN SKATES. FACIAL MASK ARE REQUIRED, AND PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE WITH YOUR DISTANCE BETWEEN SKATERS. THIS IS FUN FOR BOTH CHILDREN AND ADULTS. OH AND ONE LAST THING THEY ALSO PROVIDE THE ASSISTANT WALKER FOR THOSE WHO ARE...

This park is beautifully maintained and extremely clean. There is ample space to run, play ball or have a freestyle game of soccer. A long stretch of bike trail runs through this park in Scarborough. I did have a couple of small issues with the park. As we walked along the trail, there was nowhere to stop and sit...absolutely nowhere. There were no benches or bleachers - nothing. I understand in the winter they have an ice rink outside which I imagine is good for people who skate. Other than that, I didn't see anything at all to do - no activities, no kids park, no ball diamond. Maybe we didn't walk far enough?

We had a great experience skating here on Thursday night. We made online reservations for 8pm for the Trail. There is a skating rink adjacent to the skating trail. Both looked nice, we are relatively new skaters so it was nice for us to try the trail. The staff were attentive and the registration onsite ran smoothly. There is an indoor area but currently closed to the public because of covid. There is a parking lot with accessible parking and a washroom on site. Lots of benches to put on your skates and take breaks.
