Amazing Shawarma Restaurant — Restaurant in Toronto

I’ve been eating here for a few years now, and I’ve always had great food. This is what keeps me coming back. I’ve tried the chicken and the beef shawarma plates, wraps, and falafel, and we’ve always received a very good quantity for take out. The food is fresh, and the sauces are a great addition. This is usually a very busy location for take out and for delivery services (Uber, etc.) so be sure to come with your patience. I’ve never encountered a rude or dismissive employee, but there have been times I’ve waited a bit long to be welcomed or for my order to be taken. Today, for example, one of the employees decided to handle delivery orders on the tablet device before greeting me or taking my order. Thankfully, he put fresh gloves on before he started to make my order. Once he was dealing with my order, he was polite and quick with service. My biggest issue with this place is the environment itself. The place always looks dirty and dingy. The few times we’ve dined-in the tables were not cleaned thoroughly and the walls and floors were full of food stains, and other stuck on substances. I have chosen never to eat in there again. Another issue I’ve encountered recently was with method of payment. There are no signs stating that they do not accept credit card, and no signs stating extra fee for credit card. When I paid for my meal I offered my credit card, and the employee asked me if I had debit or cash. He stated they don’t take credit cards. I was confused as I looked around for any signs, and then finally the employee said it was okay and accepted my credit card anyway. This employee was still polite and didn’t do anything wrong, but I advised that they should have a sign stating this to prevent confusion and inconvenience for other customers. After todays experience I'd give it less than one star if it I could but I feel other people should know this. So I got there for shwarma platter today I admit I did go very last min and should go earlier however there was still 5 mins left. After some request one of the employees was kind enough to make me one which I really appreciate however the other worker was extremely downright disrespectful, he was rude to me numerous times for now reason he showed extreme amount attitude and not only that the most sick thing was there was comeback or comment about my father in the sentence he also assumed I didnt know hindi and started to talk about me in it. As I've said I admit I should've gone earlier that part is on me however if the other guy already agreed to give me food I didnt see any reason for that behaviour. And now as for the food I wont lie typically I do enjoy their food despite the disgusting customer service from that specific worker only the food this time in my opinion had a soap like taste and was off as I soon I ate it my throat stomach started to burn. During a pandemic like this youd expect people to be kind to one another and not be like this but unfortunately it is what it is and even tho this typically dosnet happen here I feel it was way out of line today and I plan to never comeback. Yesterday was passing through Scarborough and came to that store for lunch. Thought I might be in a right place, instead got really dissapointed with the food that I ordered. It was a Beef and Chicken (mix) plate with rice and salad. The rice was too blend. The chicken was okay but the beef was dry. The guy stuffed my plate with salad without having more options either. I asked for mixed but all I got was 90% chicken and 10% beef (good trick with the customers as the beef is expensive in the market). For the sauce they have Tahina, Garlic, Hot sauce and Hummos. Do not Recommend the Tahina sauce. First, when I saw the menu, I thought the price is reasonable. But after eating half of my plate I told myself "It was waste of money." Can you imagine, they charge me a can of arizona $1.70 instead of $0.99? They also need to improve the customer service as well. The guy who served me had a hard time understading my order and wasn't friendly at all. DO NOT recommend this place folks. Never going back. -5 star for food...
