We have been visiting this restaurant for more than 2 years at least twice a month, the staff knows us as they see us often but today was the worst experience one could have after giving so much business to them over years.

We had ordered a pickup for our usual beef biryani and chicken fried rice with chilli chicken via doordash, on the way to the restaurant my family changed their mind and decided to dine in instead of takeout, the food was already ordered a while ago to save time on waiting there, upon arrival we requested the person at the cash counter to dine in she said we charge extra if you order pickup and later decide to dine in? I seriously didn’t understand their logic behind this, the price of the dishes was same online and in person.

I requested to speak to the manager and they said he’s not here, then I asked for the person in charge and the chef came out and asked what did you want to talk to me about? I mentioned the same reason and he said we charge 20% extra of the order price if you want to dine in! The server told her about us being a regular customer and he still said its a rule we have- I had already spent $50 and now I give them $10 to eat their food in their restaurant?

I also requested to ask the boss and he didnt call him even after I telling out loud you wont see me here next time.

Please don't order from here unless you want to die of starvation. I had been a regular customer since they opened up and I admit the food is good. Never once have they delivered food on time. When we call to place the order they will mention a time frame but once we go there to collect the food, there usually is a delay of at least 15 minutes. Nevertheless, being a South Indian restaurant close to where I live I continued ordering from TJR. Last Sunday I called them to place an order for lunch. They took my order and told me the food will be ready in 30 minutes. Before stepping out of my home I called them again to ensure the food is ready. I was told it will take 15 more minutes as they had run out of rice. When I called them again after 15 minutes I am being told that there will be a further delay of 30 minutes as they messed up the salt. I understand things could go wrong but this was heights. They kept me waiting for almost an hour hiding the fact that they cannot deliver on time. What a terrible customer service!! Had they been truthful the first or at least the second time I would have understood their plight. Never ever am I going to order from this...

When I placed my order for takeout at the counter, the staff was not friendly and didn’t not greet me in anyway. It appears that the staff is overworked and it could be a staffing issue. However, customers, especially paying customers shouldn’t be subjected to poor customer service. Upon placing my order, I was not told how long the food will take to be ready, I waited for 10 mins in my car and came back inside, and I’m still waiting, 15 mins has passed already. Total wait time is now approaching 30 mins. Staff has not apologized for the long wait, not even once. There is a clear lack of communication. As with many of the restaurants and small business these days, it appears that this place highly prioritizes Uber Eats orders rather than the customers who live in the community and get here by foot.
