Farmers market, a long pending visit materialised, by local bus travel in Etobicoke. Both for for first time.
Quite eager and anxious to know about farmers market being organised at various points in Ontario, so close proximity was the natural reason to start visiting.
The market represents true spirit of community living and upholding traditional customs and lifestyles. Locally made produce bees honey and many local varieties suited for daily usage.
Though the number of shops are limited but each shop offers an different variety and options truly not in my knowledge!
So an visit is essential to get to know the local flavours and community that still upkeeps its traditional values and methods.
Market is held each week on Wednesday only from 2 to 6 pm in Montgomery Inn premises.

What a delightful and great way to spend an afternoon. First stop a tour of the Montgomery Inn and take in all of the historical sites of this beautiful house built in 1832 by Thomas Montgomery.

This market has it all and so much more. Fresh vegetables, fruits, sweets, amazing homemade breads made right on the site of Montgomery's In, coffee, tea, great BAO, jams, apple cider, pierogis, cabbage rolls, strawberries, apples, cauliflower, enormously large & beautiful MUSHROOMS! And so SO much more!
Every Wednesday between 2 pm and 6 pm you can enjoy everything that the market has to offer. So remember your reusable bags because you're going to need them!
