Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Toronto

I ordered pizza from Papa Johns at 4746 Dundas St W and my entire family ended up with food poisoning afterward. The next day, I called the location to report the issue. Instead of showing concern, the response I received was dismissive — they told me that many pizzas had been sold without problems, as if that excused what happened.

I didn’t ask for compensation, but under the circumstances, a refund would have been appropriate. Instead, after pressing the matter, I was offered only a 50% discount on my next order, which I was told would be automatically recognized in their system by my phone number. When I called again today to place an order, not only was the staff completely unaware of the discount, but they also said it would only apply to one pizza, not the whole order — even though my entire original order went straight to the garbage because nobody could eat it.

This shows a complete lack of accountability and follow-through from management. The food made us sick, their promises weren’t honored, and the experience left me with zero trust in this location. I will never order from here again, and I will be reporting this incident to...

Worthy of ZERO Stars. Picked up our 3 items all with the proper sticker with our name and item correct. 2 pizzas and garlic bread sticks. Got home to see they put the WRONG item in the box. Did not get our bread sticks. Drove back to correct their mistake! Wasting my time/gas and now have my other food cold, to fix THEIR mistake. I was nice at first, asking if I could get a discount of some kind on my next order for this inconvenience. They said no. The only thing they can do is make something else. I don’t want any other food. I ordered what I wanted. I declined. Few minutes go by and they hand me the box with bread sticks…. I felt the box and it felt cold… I open the box and the butter hasn’t even melted!!! I touched the bread and they are COLD!!! I didn’t even leave the store yet!! Yesterday on 15 september 2024 somewhere around 6 to 8 pm. I had an awful experience at this Papa John’s location when I placed an order in person. I walked in to order a pizza, and the staff seemed uninterested and unprofessional from the start. After placing my order, I was told it would take 15 minutes, but I ended up waiting over 40 minutes without any explanation or apology.

When I finally asked about the delay, the staff were dismissive and rude, telling me they were "busy," even though there was hardly anyone in the store. When I eventually got my pizza, it was cold, and the order was wrong. I asked for a refund or for them to fix it, but they refused and acted like I was the problem.
