My friends and I, a total of 5 went there with a birthday cake. At the end of the dinner, they took the cake out for us to take pictures, then took it back inside to cut it for us.

Each of us got a piece of cake that looked the same in size, but it was definitely not the entire cake. Also, none of us got the fruits from the top of the original cake (shown in the picture).

Later, we asked for the rest of the cake. They gave us a takeout box with 2 pieces of cake inside, WITHOUT the missing fruits and the chocolate happy birthday sign.

We asked about the fruits and the chocolate sign, they came back to us saying they thought the fruits from the top of the cake were not eatable, and they could only retrieve the chocolate sign.

Things just don't add up. Why would our cake be in 7 pieces and not 8 pieces on a busy Friday night, I highly doubt the chef took his time to cut out 5 perfect size pieces and just split the last big part into half for the take-out box. They pretty much just took 1/8 of our cake and all of the fruits from the top which they "thought was not eatable."

I've come to 2 conclusions. They didn't lie, they really thought the fruits and chocolate were not eatable, took the chocolate sign out from the garbage bin, and gave that to us. Also, cut a cake into 7 pieces.

They lied, they cut the cake into 8 pieces like how you would do it normally, took 1 piece of cake, all of the fruits, and the chocolate. After we questioned them, they took the chocolate off from the piece of cake they stole and gave us the chocolate back.

Edit: To begin, the server had a different explanation as I mentioned above, now that I read it from your side, the story still doesn't add up.

You were saying, that your chef removed the fruits to a plate, and the chocolate sign immediately into a takeout container (#1), as most guests prefer to preserve them. A miscommunication somehow caused someone to discard the fruits(the apple, melon, mango, strawberry, blueberry, raspberry). Thus, you added your own berries when you served us 5 pieces of cake.

So how come no one talked to us about the fruits being discarded at this point?

It is also suspicious when you said you knew the customer would want to preserve the chocolate sign. After we finished our 5 pieces of cake. We asked for the rest of the cake. You guys gave us 2 pieces of cake in a takeout container (#2), that's it. LATER, when we asked for the fruits and the chocolate sign, then you gave us that takeout container (#1). To me, the sign was never in a container box until this point, because why wouldn't it come with the rest of the cake along with the container (#2)?

It was a busy night, after we finished our appetizer, we waited 40 minutes for the main course. I do not believe your chef took his time to evenly cut out 5 pieces and leave a big piece out to be cut into half later (making a total of 7 pieces), while he can just make 3 cuts into 8 even pieces.

Of course I am accusing the stealing part, I did not have a camera set up in your kitchen, I did not see how you guys cut it inside kitchen, and I did not see a picture of my fruits inside the garbage bin. What happened was, I brought a cake and the entire top part was gone, and maybe even 1/8 of the cake, your server said something different than you are right now, but the story still...

We picked this place for a late birthday dinner with friends, driven by a sudden craving for risotto. After searching for a spot with the right vibe, this restaurant felt like the perfect choice. The atmosphere was cozy and classy, not too crowded, and had just the right amount of warmth inside. It was refreshing to have a calm dining experience without the bustle of a packed restaurant. For appetizers, we shared the Cozze al Vino Bianco, Antipasto Della Casa, and Genovese pizza. For my main, I had the Risotto Con Zucca e Salsiccia, and we ended the meal with a Tiramisu. Everything we tried had a clear sense of quality and attention to detail. The flavors were medium-bodied and rich without feeling heavy or overly bold, which I truly appreciated. They balanced the richness of cheese and oils with finesse, avoiding an overreliance on citrus or herbs to cut through the flavors. This subtle harmony was a bold move, and it worked beautifully. The Cozze al Vino Bianco was a wonderful starter, with a soup that added great depth and warmth to the dish, setting the tone for the rest of the meal. The antipasto had its own charm, though I still prefer how Ferro serves theirs. The pizza, however, was a standout. Generously topped with pesto and other toppings, I wouldn’t hesitate to order it again. And the risotto, oh, the risotto! It was incredible. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the squash blended seamlessly into the dish. Personally, I felt there was a touch too much sausage, but hey, who says no to more meat? That said, I do wish they offered a mushroom risotto, which was the only thing I found myself missing. I also stole a bite of my brother’s Tagliatelle alla Bolognese, and it was perfectly executed, with the sauce clinging beautifully to the pasta. The Tiramisu wasn’t originally in the plan, as I was considering dessert elsewhere, but I’m so glad we ordered it. It was smooth and flavorful, reminding me of how proper Tiramisu should taste. It has been far too long since I’ve had one this good. Now, while the food was stellar, not everything went perfectly. The service left something to be desired. Our server asked if we wanted wine over four times, which was honestly frustrating. After the second time, it should have been clear we weren’t interested. Additionally, if the server was feeling unwell or uncomfortable, wearing a mask would have been a considerate gesture, especially given the number of middle-aged and older clients dining in the restaurant. One other gripe was the lack of transparency around the sparkling water. It would have been helpful to disclose that it was a branded option and would be charged at $5 per bottle. Many restaurants offer sparkling water on the house, so this led to some confusion. How does a server have the confidence to push wine four times but not the courtesy to mention sparkling water costs? That part was baffling. Despite these minor frustrations, the food and thoughtfulness behind the dishes completely won me over. I am genuinely shocked and thrilled that a place like this still exists. I can’t wait to come back for another meal, especially for...

Took my parents here for Mother’s Day & it didn’t disappoint. Each interaction was extremely personable & pleasant, from their courtesy call confirming our reservation, to the last minutes of our dining experience.

Firstly, Mahi was an absolute gem. He took the time to explain the specials, answered all of our inquiries gently & recommended beautiful meal pairings. I’m almost 100% certain we were there past closing time (accidentally…I didn’t realize it at the time) & he in no way, shape or form rushed us. I actually asked for the bill once I noticed the time, because I think he was giving us space to enjoy our experience. They even accommodated us as a late-night reservation, which I’m extremely grateful for.

The food was phenomenal. There was not a single dish that was a “miss”. We ordered the RISOTTO CON GAMBERI E CAPESANTE w. mushrooms (as per Mahi’s suggestion after my mother asked for mixed veggies), SPAGHETTI AI FRUTTI DI MARE and TORTELLI DI MAGRO, all which were served with warm bread & balsamic vinegar/olive oil. For dessert we ordered the mocha cheesecake because the tiramisu was sold out. All were made to perfection. Price point was extremely reasonable as well! It was also cool to see the chefs @ work through the glass they have that shows the kitchen. Mahi handed my mother a single rose at the end of the dinner which was such a nice touch.

Service, food and atmosphere 10/10. There’s also parking in the back of the restaurant. I will be returning, for sure. If you’re questioning the reason this place has 4.8 stars instead of 5, check the reviews & you’ll see the customer service from Vince who I can only assume is the owner & his willingness to rectify the situations that are usually miscommunications in a timely fashion. I can assure you, you won’t be disappointed. The entire experience was certainly one...

Food was very good, portions just right and flavors complex and unique. Enjoyed the meal very much. Prices reasonable. Traditional Italian fare with some unique character. Location was cute, a bit small and noisy so not ideal if you want a quiet calm atmosphere, but willing to accept in light of food. Lighting in the restaurant a bit off, dark in some spots and annoying near the window due to street lighting and activity. Parking is free on the street in the evening which is a plus. Service was consistent and attentive. We went for our 5th anniversary...I was a bit disappointed that they did not do a little something special for us, a shot or small dessert. They were aware of this, but I feel they dropped the ball on that. Could've gone anywhere for that special occasion and got a bit of preferential service - but not here unfortunately. May try again for food, but was a bit turned off by that. Having said that, the owner was very polite and appreciative, a nice personal touch to the service.
