Pizzeria Via Napoli has always been one of my favorite places to eat, but what makes it truly special to me is a little mocktail on the menu called “Sofia with an F.” What most people don’t know is that this drink was co-created by my daughter when she was just six years old, alongside a wonderful staff member named Ryan. He didn’t brush her off like “just a kid”—he leaned into her creativity, helped bring her idea to life, and gave her a sense of ownership that most children don’t get to experience in that way. Now nearly eleven, my daughter still considers this drink her greatest achievement—and she’s already an incredibly talented, creative soul. “Sofia with an F” showed her that dreams are possible, that her ideas matter, and that she can make something real in the world, even as a child. She didn’t realize back then that the drink would stay on the menu for years, or that it would be shared with friends, celebrated by strangers, and remembered every time we visit. But here we are—five years later—and it’s still going strong, outlasting the other two placebo drinks from that time. On a recent visit, I asked Gabriella, a lovely server who’s been serving us with warmth and care for the past two years, whether the drink was still popular. Her eyes lit up as she smiled and said yes—that not only is it a popular among guests, but that she genuinely enjoys making it every time. To hear that truly meant the world. You can tell she puts heart into her work—Gabriella is a bright presence, always patient, kind, and happy to explain anything on the menu with a sense of whimsy and passion. It’s a beautiful thing to see when the people working at a restaurant truly believe in the space. She adds to the magic in her own way, and I’m always so grateful when she’s our server. To Ryan—if you ever read this: thank you for taking a child seriously and giving her something so joyful, meaningful, and lasting. You left your mark, and I hope you know what a difference you made. To anyone visiting Via Napoli—please order the “Sofia with an F.” It’s crisp, refreshing, and beautifully balanced, but more than that—it’s a drink with a legacy. And don’t sleep on the Risotto ai Funghi (especially with a side of the pistachio lemon sauce they serve with the ravioli—thank me later). This place has been part of our story for years, and I hope it becomes part of yours too.

A great addition to the area, with great vibes and great food! Also, bonus hidden patio in the back! We've been to this Italian restaurant for the second time and the food has been consistently delicious. Their menu ranges from the standard pizza, pasta and appetizers that have been great choices so far! For the antipasti (appetizer), we've had the Arancini (mushroom risotto balls with squid ink breading and truffle aioli), Calamari Fritti (deep-fried calamari), and Calamari Alla Griglia (grilled calamari in romesco sauce). Don't miss out on the Arancini, we almost ordered a second helping cause of how delicious it was! For mains (Pasta e Risotto section), we've had the Rigatoni Bolognese and the Tonnarelli Pescatore. Both were solid choices and look small, but very filling and worth the value. For Pizze Rosse, we've ordered the Pizza Oro, Vesuvio and the Pepperoni. Very generous amounts of pepperoni and toppings. The Vesuvio eggplant pizza was very delicious as well! For Pizze Bianche, we've ordered the Tartufo. The Tartufo became one of the table's favourites! They cook the pizza via their wood-fired oven and can see it done in person. The attention from the cook is great to watch! The service was great with staff checking constantly on water, service and food. They accept cash or credit cards. The music is a tad loud pending on the number of people, but the overall vibe and staff are overly friendly. The bar area and dining area are very clean and organized as well. The bathroom is in the back near the patio/bar area. Do note, that the restaurant has parking which is located in the back and you enter via the Cordova Avenue side (after the convenience store). Overall, would recommend friends and family to visit again for the delicious eats!

Below is the review from our first experience. Unfortunately, after this week’s visit, I’ve had to alter my review and rating. With several menu items unavailable, it seemed like they aren’t really trying. I had plenty of options for my birthday dinner, and was looking forward to the tagliatelle- but alas, it wasn’t available. I think if you’re changing the menu, you change the menu, you don’t short change your customers before the shift. Seriously disappointing. And, sadly, the pizza we had set aside to leave with, never made it out of the restaurant, as the server neglected to bring it to us — yea, and we forgot until later :( The food we were able to order was all pretty good, but didn’t entirely make up for what wasn’t there that we went there for in the first place. Previous review: An outstanding meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Pizzeria Via Napoli. Everything we ordered was excellent, from the pizza to the pastas and all of the seasonal delights. They even go out of their way to make the Caesar salad special with a terrific house made dressing with fried pancetta — yum! If you haven’t tried this spot yet, put it to the top of your list. Excellent service from Gabriella made the evening a total success. We’ll be returning for sure!

If you’re seeking an authentic Neapolitan dining experience, this Italian restaurant is a true gem. With a wood-fired oven at the heart of their kitchen, they bring the flavors of Naples straight to your plate, delivering a menu filled with traditional yet innovative Italian dishes.

Appetizers- The meal begins with impressive starters. The Calamari alla Griglia is perfectly grilled, tender, and well-seasoned, bringing out the natural sweetness of the squid with a subtle char from the fire. Another standout is the Arancini—a crispy delight breaded with squid ink that gives this classic dish a briny, rich twist. Both dishes set the tone for the authentic culinary journey that follows.

Pizza- Of course, no visit to a Neapolitan restaurant would be complete without trying their pizzas, made with dough that’s been lovingly crafted and baked in their wood-fired oven. We opted for two classics: the Ortolana and the Margherita. The Ortolana was a standout—topped with fresh, perfectly vegetables, it had a beautiful balance of flavors and textures, with the slight smokiness from the oven enhancing the natural sweetness of the veggies. The Margherita was simplicity at its best: rich tomato sauce, creamy mozzarella, and fresh basil, all coming together on a chewy yet crisp crust that had the perfect amount of char. Both pizzas embody the soul of traditional Neapolitan pizza-making.

Pasta Their pasta selection is extensive, but the Spaghetti alla Siciliana is an absolute must-try. Made with pistachio pesto, this dish strikes a perfect balance of creamy, nutty, and pistachio flavor. The pesto clings to the al dente spaghetti with just the right amount of richness, making each bite deeply satisfying. The menu offers plenty of other pasta options, each crafted with care, but this particular dish exemplifies the restaurant’s dedication to honoring regional Italian cuisine with a creative edge.

Desserts- Dessert here is an event unto itself. The Tiramisu is unlike any you’ve had before—it swaps out the usual ladyfingers for a moist cake base, layered with airy mousse, offering a textural twist that elevates the dessert to a whole new level. The Torta Caprese, a flourless chocolate almond cake, is dense yet indulgent, with a richness that lingers long after the last bite. Both desserts are excellent choices to round off the meal.

Ambience and Service The wood-fired oven not only serves as the culinary centerpiece but also adds a cozy, rustic feel to the atmosphere. The service is attentive and knowledgeable, further enhancing the overall dining experience.

In conclusion, this restaurant excels in offering an authentic slice of Neapolitan cuisine, showcasing time-honored techniques and ingredients with a modern twist. Whether you’re in for the pasta, desserts, or the inviting ambiance, it’s a spot that will leave a...
