A little crowded and all the testers were very dirty - some of the eyeshadows did not have any powder in them. I asked a store staff for help and she said "I'll be with you in 2 minutes" and she never came back 5 stars because I like tarte. Do not buy the other brand "two face" the eye shadow is like chalk. You might as well just buy chalk and smear it on your face.

Seen so many horrendous reviews about this Store manager named erin (big lips and tattoos and blonde hair) she just loves to be on her phone and waste other people’s time, I was waiting to cash out and she’s scrolling thru all my transactions and seeing what I bought and returned?? why is that your business ? just let me pay and cash out. She needs to leave

Came to find a right foundation shade. Staffs are amazing here. Especially thanks to Rebecca, she is patient, friendly, kind and honest throughout the whole time. We tried several brands and shades, I am glad we found the perfect one at the end. It was nice talking and shopping with her. She made my experience so smooth and enjoyable:)

I kinda like this store and yet I find it kinda frustrating. Not because I find the staff unfriendly or rude... kinda the opposite. I think the staff is quite nice here BUT they're trying to be helpful and they can't because they just dont know a different brand. I think the management of the associates is the issue.

So this Sephora can be utterly crazy on a weekend. I dont even bother stepping into here during holidays. I think you can manage the parking lot better than inside here. The store is packed with tons of brands... more than most places around GTA. You have some of the more exclusive brands you don't see elsewhere. I spotted Serge Lutens and Pat McGrath... those are brands I see online normally. Never in a store. So if you're looking for the super exclusive items... this probably would be your spot.

As for the cleanliness... it was a bit chaotic but I have to appreciate the 20 or so associates walking around and helping keeping things somewhat organized. I mean you can't help if a tester becomes an exploding grenade of hot pink on the shelves but I think the associates try to keep things more on the tidy side.

About the staff, they're friendly. No one was doing the mean girl act thankfully but I have to wonder how they're trained. When I had a question about a particular brand, I kinda got the bambi in the head lights look. They were not sure how to answer and they had to grab another person to help answer the question. This happened more than a few times. It seems like some girls are just dedicated to one brand only so if they are trying to help someone from another section... nope that isn't going to happen. I can understand if you have 2 people per brand available but that's not reality. I would have hoped Sephora trained up their staff to manage more than one brand especially if just 2 feet away.

One thing that I liked a lot was the staff was willing to make foundation or skincare samples for you to take home. Everyone knows the store lighting is just terrible... and no one really looks good or can figure out if s shade works. They just pour some of the tester and it's usually more than enough for a few days to try. I've saved myself a lot of money doing this. You think you look like Beyonce in the store but when you get to the parking lot and see the real shade... you're looking more like a reject from Flavour of Love. Hot mess... no thanks.

Anyhow, I think this place isnt as bad as older reviews. It's improved a lot especially their product offering. It's a bit of a wonderland in there BUT do realize the staff (as helpful as they try to be) may not be able to answer all...

After shopping at Sephora for eight years, and being a VIB rouge member for years, I could not be more frustrated with my visit this past Saturday evening around 8:35pm. I understand that the store is about to close so staff were in a rush to go home. I was in the store for about 10 minutes before the incident had occurred. I was swatching some colours at the too faced counter and I couldn’t find my shade. I looked around and no one was around to ask for help. I was pretty surprised that no one approached me sooner as Sephora is usually pretty good for that. I went into the drawer underneath to get my product. I understand that this isn’t allowed but I wasn’t aware. A young woman approach me and said with an attitude “don’t go in the drawer! What do you need?” I said “I’m sorry I just needed vanilla and it’s not here, I didn’t know” she continued to be upset that I went in the drawer and was rolling her eyes and kissing her teeth. I let her know she didn’t have to be rude and apologized again for going in the drawer. She continued with the poor attitude and said “that’s not my problem, it’s your perception.” I was shocked when she spoke to me like that. She began to walk away when I asked her what he name was. She said she wasn’t going to give it to me and ran to the manager. I asked another employee if a manager was around to speak to. This is when Joshua approach us. I already knew by his body language that he was not in the mood to speak with customers, he seemed bothered that I asked to speak with him. After repeating the same phrase 5 times I got frustrated. He continued to say “I understand your frustration” when in reality he did not care and was just listening but not actually acknowledging my concerns. I simply asked for this young woman’s name to contact head office. He refused to give me her name along with the store manger and district managers name, stating that it’s confidential. It is most certainly not because had the store manager been present they would be wearing a name tag just like everyone else in the store. He began to raise his voice towards my fiancé when he was just trying to diffuse the situation. I asked for her to apologize for her terrible attitude and being disrespectful, and Joshua refused. At the end he looked at us and said “are we finished.” I planned on still supporting Sephora even with the $3-6 PRICE INCREASE ON ALL PRODUCTS. I will definitely think twice now. The staff her need a reality check, they work in the customer service industry and that is absolutely not acceptable, especially...

This location has the worst sephora customer service ever! The stuffs are not willing to help at all. I couldn't find a tester so I literally chased around atleast 5 of the stuffs on the floor. All of their answers were bluntly "I cant move from here", "Go look around the beauty studios",or "If its not there we dont have it". If you guys cant move around and help customers then I think you should just wear a shirt saying "dont ask me for help, I cant be bothered". If you want the customers to do your job and look for the hidden testers god knows left where, then dont yell when we have to open the drawers! You arent must interested in doing your job anyway! You literally told me to help myself because you wont! What do you mean by if its not there then we dont have it? Just walk your lazy self to the isile instead of chit chatting with your colleagues and atleast take a look at what item the customer is looking for! I was looking for a shade in cover fx foundation, after finding no from anyone! I went and Opened one of the new box and I had two other actual tester on my hand (they said testers on them). The extremely mean lady who previously told me "if its not there, we dont have it from like two isile away from the cover fx isile, finally decided snoop on me. Funny how she couldnt walk over when I actually asked her for help! Yelled infront of other customers "excuse me! lets see ( snatched the product) you can get banned from the store for it and literally snatched the two actual testers from me even though they were actual testers and I asked her can I atleast have the actual testers! No didnt even respond just walked away ranting to her other colleagues. First of all, I agree I shouldnt have opened the product but what option did you guys give me anyway sephora at yorkdale? Secondly that's not how you approach a customer infront of others (yelling and shouting). Finally you didnt need to snatch away the actual testers from my hand. I wasnt stealing anything, you could have just asked me "can I have the other items ". The incident happend on September 19, 2016 around 7:35-8:00 pm. I didnt get the name of the mean lady, but I can describe her as extra large build, darker skinned lady. She went and spoke to the store supervisor at that time. I would really appreciate if sephora and sephora yorkdale looks...
