My branch is the one at 870 St Clair, but they couldn't fit my son in for opening an acct, so they referred me to the branch at 510 St Clair. Unfortunately, the rep (Mirika Singh) treated my shy 13 yr old child with tremendous disrespect, to the extent that my son called and asked me to come into the bank and speak to her. I did so, and mildly criticized her flippant and rude disposition, explaining to my child that not all people behave professionally, and that one should not let such trifling behaviour spoil his day or negatively impact his opinion of tellers in general. Mirika apparently did not like being called out and did everything she could to make the process difficult-to the extent that I asked to speak to the manager, Sasha Li. Apparently, Sasha could not be bothered-or Mirika lied-so I decided to leave and wait until the next day to complete the process at our home branch. If it were not for the excellent service we received at the 870 branch, I would have closed all three of my accounts and resumed being a customer with RBC, where I still have my business accounts and credit cards. I am a small business owner who strives for professionalism, and I do not tolerate bad customer service from my employees. I am disgusted by her behaviour and will never return to this branch. I intended to contact the TD corporate office to file a complaint, but I have already wasted enough time addressing this problematic issue. If you are looking to open a TD account, I strongly suggest you do so at 870 St Clair or ANY...
Read moreHorrible service. Went there today in the afternoon and all the staff were dragging their feet. When I arrived there were 2 people in line, and by the time I saw a teller a huge line up had formed because they were all moving so slowly. The teller I saw kept making mistakes with the customer in front of me and every time he had to go back to that window that dispenses cash for them, it was like he was moving in slow motion. There were only 2 tellers and after the line up had gotten too long for the little fenced in area, another teller finally came out, but also walking very slowly with no sense of urgency for the huge line up that had formed.
When My teller finally finished with the previous customer and saw me, he didnt apologize for the wait or anything. I had been coughing my lungs out in line and told him I needed to replace my debit card asap because I lost it, and was sick with bronchitis and needed to buy medicine. He just stood there delicately folding up the previous customer's receipt and slowly put it in a drawer. Honestly I wanted to ask him if he was hungover...
Read moreThis is not a review of TD Bank but simply this branch: This is a full service TD with a slew of finacial services rep, investment planners, mortgage specialists, etc... there is a coinstar machine and large amount of small and large size safety deposit boxes. The branch is at a safe, busy, and well-lit intersection meaning using the ATMs late at night not a nervewracking experience. Very friendly and professional tellers, managers, and every other employee I've dealt with. Yes, there are lines at times, because this is a very busy branch in the heart of midtown, so plan accordingly. Located directly on the streetcar line within walking diatance of St. Clair West...
