My children have taking it to calling it "Butt breaker Park" because there is a pretty big slide in there that's a bit steep and it always seems your butt takes a hit towards the bottom. They love it, I think it's a bit rough (yes, I've gone down it...forced to buy my kids. I'm an adult and not short and I still didn't care for going down that slide).
In general there isn't much else to do at the park. There is a wading pool, completely deserted today because it was cloudy. A small side-by-side slide, some swings and a monkey bar type thingy that you don't get much use out of, a sandbox area and that's about it. The washrooms are public and there are always people in the surrounding picnic tables either getting high, coming down from a high or on their way to get high later. Not sure there are so many junkies that frequent the park, but rest assured there are always at least one or two keeping a picnic table warm. Expect the washrooms next to the park to reflect...
Read moreFor those in the St Clair region, the park is a great option to rest and also to take the children to play in the playground.
The park is well equipped with swings, slides, climbing toys, summer sandpit and seesaws. Inside the playground area there are some benches so that parents can watch the children, and the space has large gates for children's safety, as cars pass by on the side street. The park is open to animals, but pets are prohibited in the play area.
The park has an access ramp for wheelchair users and walkers to access the restrooms that are open in the summer, worth a visit.

Read moreIt should be a really lovely relaxing playful space. It is well treed and maintains washrooms and a drinking fountain for you or your dog.
As mentioned by others, unfortunately the civil ambience gets compromised by rough rude men who occupy the benches by the St. Clair West side. They argue and/or converse loudly with many an angry expletive. They are NOT representative of all homeless persons. But their presence is unfortunate.
