V.V., V.V. What can I say about value village that the average or long time thrifters don’t already know, heard or seen. The prices are ridiculous and just keep getting more and more ridiculous. I shop V.V on 50% sale days only now a days. I’ve cut back on thrifting since the prices started going up. This location is a good size. It is good for kids clothes, women and men clothes too, accessories, house whole decor items, women and men shoes. Kids shoe and furniture selection is limited. I don’t go to this location often. I have ran into a cool staff there once. So far they have pretty nice staff members and the atmosphere is great. It was crowded on the sale day. It is pretty quite on none sale days. Nothing much changed other than they broth back the point system.

I personally love this store but I gave it a 3 for a few reasons. The first being their pricing. What kind of guidelines do they follow? I genuinely want to know. Found a shirt I bought at Dollarama for $4 last month priced at VV for $10.99 this week. What?! Yes. $10.99. While most items are reasonably priced, some are outrageously overpriced. Back to the good! They've got everything from clothing to accessories to books to dishes and cutlery to drapes to toys! I mean everything! Staff is very friendly and the store is clean. Definitely recommend!

I donate a ton of clothes, appliances and furniture to various charities including this Value Village store but it’s not ethical for the store to put prices like it’s a retail store. One basket is more expensive than the store it was originally from, the dollar store and a plain white t’s for $8.99 are just an example of overpriced items in the store. I do enjoy browsing the tea cups or mugs sections for one of a kind vintage just like this fine China from England for $3.99 which I believe is still overpriced.

I was visiting Value Village near Golf Rd and Lawrence area on Thursday June 29,2023 at around 11:30am I was with my mother looking for fancy dresses and placing some items in my cart to take over to the mirror to see if I would actually like it. An African American lady who works there had ALOT of attitude. She accused us of leaving dresses on the rack and she was complaining that we should put it back out loud, which made us feel uncomfortable 😳 I advise her those dresses on the rack aren’t ours and the items we choose are in my cart. She was kissing her teeth, mad putting those dresses away. My question is; if she’s hired to be on the floor to organize clothes, wouldn’t that be her job? I’m certain her job description doesn’t include to be rude to customers. Or to be complaining with awful attitude. And on top of it false accusations statements! Have some dignity lady! Customer service is highly important. I did advise her she was being rude and outrageous. I reminded her if everything was organized to perfection she wouldn’t be needed here and that’s her job to keep organizing and fixing the racks. Value Village please have a meeting with your employees to discuss where YOU would like your level of customer service at your branch! On the side note, cashiers staff were friendly and helpful. Those are the employees that need to be on the floor, making our shopping experience great!

Value Village! Take action! Please consider to speak to that employee, I’m sure you know whom I’m referring too because I have also scan through the reviews with this same lady and her attitude towards customers.

I wish the owners would pose as under cover boss just to see her...

First of all I really love this location but what happened today is kinda make me feel bad. I just wanted to share what happened today when I went to this location , I always go straight to the showcase to look for something because you know sometimes there's a good item in the showcase but at that time there's more than 3 customers waiting for their turn to look what they want to see that's why I decided to go back after they are done. When I'm at the showcase because those customers are done now and its my turn to look those Items that I want to check right? and one of their cashier I don't know what's her name told me that why I asked a lot of items to check but to be honest I only check 3 items that time. I told her that because I want to check those items before I buy it. And she shout at me "but that's too much" I understand maybe she's "tired" or something but to be honest she's kinda rude. I don't know why they hired her, and I don't know why they put her in that position. I told her if you are tired go home and It's your job to gave the item to me because I want check before I buy it., and she's continue talking and talking. I wanted to ignore her but what I did is I go straight to the manager/supervisor tell what happened and good thing the manager knows how to handle the situation. I just want to ask you guys what is the email of the main value village, I want to report that one of their employee is having a bad attitude, and does not follow those rules like serve a customer properly. and one more thing that I heard that this lady is rude to the other customer's too. I forgive her already but I wanted to send this to the value...

I absolutely enjoy thrift shopping at Value Village but I must honestly sat that this location always has a stinky smell. As soon as you enter the doorway the stench literally hits you in your face and knocks you right off your feet. Is there anyway someone can investigate the smelly odour that's polluting this location?? It's horrendous. I've had to leave the store because of it. On another stinky note, the donation and rewards program has become a farce and is quite inconsistent. The people at Head Office who are forever coming up with these terrible ideas for the program needs to get their heads checked. The new stamp system for the donation program is ridiculous and is a big turn off. It needs to be looked at as it's not a fair system. How is it that one stamp is given for a large bag filled with designer items and then one stamp given also for a very small bag with barely anything in it?? 🤔 You think the larger bag would earn more stamps. This is not rocket science...seriously!!! Please get it straight. To the people at the top (I'm talking head office..yes you people who sit around at a desk drinking coffee all day and coming up with stupid ideas) please remember that Value Village gets their items free that's why it's called donation. Please treat you donors well. If it wasn't for them your business would flop. Now I get to find out a partially stamped donor card cannot be used towards a discounted purchase until the card is completely full. This is bordering on monetary greed. Also, stop ripping off the customers further by overpricing items. After all, is Value Village not a second hand shop? Shame on...
