This is an excellent place to go for any information you need for any information. When asked, the employees are extremely knowlegable and are eager to give you brochures and information booklets on surrounding hikes and activities. They know the difficultiy in each of the hikes and even the condition of the roads leading to the trailheads! The reason that I gave 4 stars was because although they know a lot about the area, it seems that they can only recall infomation on these trails once directly brought up. For instance when asked if there were any cool things to see nearby, they struggled to think of any, but once I asked about the Bruleé cemetary and mountain park abandoned town, they were then able to recall all of the info I needed. So I would absolutely come here for detailed local information on trails and attractions, but I would suggest coming with a few places attractions...
Read moreJust recently, our family went on vacation in Jasper, Alberta. We stayed in Hinton. We went to the visitor center where we met with Jackie. We were most impressed with her genuine excitement and enthusiasm to assist us with making the most of our time over the course of the 5 days we were there. We took her up on several of her recommendations and even helped us book a few while there. Example: the Columbia Icefield Bridge, Sunwapta and Athabasca falls.
