For what it is it’s exactly what you want

Quick , the cheapest/tastiest

You can pick out what you want and get it packed to go right away or order pickup/delivery

The atmosphere I rate low only bc the inside seating area is loaded with an energy of you can eat but they also don’t really enjoy ppl being there ( tables/chairs suck/cramped space)

I like the lads ( i assume the owners family) that are behind the front table sometimes - they seem to loath being there which is oddly entertaining ( usually playing videos games/sometimes will run the front)

Like a lot of similar style restaurants they close early at times when it’s not busy - which I understand from their side but when you're a big fat heifer like me - and you drive down in a rush like mad max - to make it on time and they closed down early , it feels like your dad ‘left for milk again’ and isn’t ever coming back

I very much enjoy the food, and the lady that runs the place is very pleasant and is quite funny to chant/banter with - but for some reason I get the feeling she hates dealing with customers ( even though she never acts like it ) and it makes me very fond of her and the experience

I got takeout around noon from Golden River Express’ buffet bar. I am of Chinese descent, and some dishes here are not bad. The first egg roll was actually the best Chinese one I remember having. I had them without dipping sauce. Next time, I would only get one for myself because the second one didn’t have the same impact. The fried rice could’ve been better because it has a faint maybe burnt taste. I added a packet of soy sauce to the rice for flavour when I had it on its own, which made it good. It has very little BBQ pork in it. Chow mein was enjoyable as my main, and I liked the vegetables in it (green cabbage and onion). Chicken balls were fine. I had them without dipping sauce. None of the above felt overly greasy. I would go back again. I would like to try their all-day dim sum. Also, they used plastic take out containers unlike a review from a year ago, so maybe they stopped...

Absolutely the best service. We've been coming here for years but I recently went to just get food for myself - the prices were so good I was floored. They could honestly charge twice what they are because the food is amazing. Restaurant is super clean, and I appreciate them asking if you want something after listing possible allergens like meat as I am allergic to a certain meat. Pork shumai/dumplings are my all time favourite and taste like you're really there. Everything is made by hand and you can get stuff made fresh - but everything IS fresh and it's amazing. The woman who owns the restaurant is the nicest person you will ever meet. Be extra sweet to her, please, she works SO hard. All of the veggies are always fresh. All of the rice is always good.
