After our business trip in Vancouver Canada, we took a private leave for a more few days stay. Avoiding the hustle and bustle outside there of the downtown, we came to [Dr. Sun Yat Sen Classical Chinese Gardens] and [Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Park], a Chinese-style classical courtyard and a beautiful classical Chinese Garden, which are adjacent 2-in-1 as both extension and complement to each other. This complex is located on a street cornering block between Carrall Street paralled with Columbia Street, in China Town, British Columbia, Vancouver, which place is said to be where Dr. Sun Yat-sen once lived in when visited Vancouver. The exquisite and elegant layout and exhibition of the museum-like interior can really make us feel the strong Chinese atmosphere, show the exquisite and long-lasting Chinese culture, and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the interior. People who like to buy some souvenirs can also buy some commemorative items here. We can taste the Chinese tea, snacks or light food, specially prepared for visitors. The gazebo, huts in the garden, water plants, flowers and trees as well, and the fishes, turtles, ducks, wild geese swimming in the pond, forming a Chinese classical and beautiful natural picture in our sights. About two hours long later since our visit arrival, we ended the visit to these [Dr. Sun Yat-sen Classical Chinese Garden] and [Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Park]. Walking out of the park and looking across the Columbia Street, there is an vacant square that is to be a lively afternoon and night scene in a moment later...

It felt like stepping into a secret sanctuary in the middle of a busy city. As soon as we walked through the side gate (after making an online reservation), all noise and stress seemed to melt away. The serene garden flowed and flowered around us as we walked the self-guided path. I love learning about the history of the garden and the significance of the buildings themselves. The symmetry and symbolism felt peaceful and purposeful, inventing us to feel peaceful as well. When booking the tickets, I noticed that we could book a private tea ceremony with a certified tea artist. I jumped on that opportunity so fast! How amazing to not only enjoy a garden, but experience tea while there. Booking the ceremony was quite easy - Bruno sent prompt and friendly emails to get us organized. The tea artist, Lillian, was a delight and a marvelous teacher. We loved chatting with her while we learned the history of tea, the history of the tea ceremony, and how to make tea drinking a meditative practice. She chose flowers from the garden to decorate the table, as well as chose snacks that paired perfectly with our tea. My husband and I felt so well taken care of and at ease through the entire process. I highly recommend visiting the garden, especially when the trees are blooming. I also highly recommend booking a private tea ceremony! It really elevates the garden experience. Bruno and Lillian are a delight...
