Pioneer Place, also called Pigeon Park, is a popular Downtown Eastside gathering place. The lacy leaves of the surrounding trees shelter this little plaza in this historic part of Vancouver. Great place to watch the drug dealers and users. There is a new totem pole and the historic bank building. This park plaza was created after the CPR gave up their right of way through this area and instead built the Dunsmuir tunnel from Burrard inlet to false creek.

Pigeon Park is a tiny public park located in the DOWNTOWN east side Hasting st corner to Carroll st. If you're interested in finding bargains there was a market open across Army & Navy, however as of this Monday they relocated beside the now defunct Pigeon Park Bank which has set foot by Heathly st & Hasting. The market will be operating between 10.00 am. To 3.00 pm. Almost everyday but will need to confirm that upon my next visit. First gather a friend(s) meet at Pigeon Park then cross to the south side heading east you couldn't miss it 😀and then walk in and see something you like well do yourself a favor do the tour first you might find the same things at another table half price. Please don't quote me on this though it's been a truth for a very long time: some of the people there mainly first nation are in my opinion some of the most fair and just in purchasing theirs wares always a smile on their faces however when it comes to dealing with other cultures theses people won't flinch nor bargain their attitudes towards the outsider gives the DTS are negative image of the first nation or the residents who have settled there many decades ago. Now I ain't got anything to gain speaking up. That said fair is fair if a minority has a disdain towards another minority whose interests is it serving as they use the services offered to the residents in the area so the reverse is more often then none quite negative towards the first nation where the divide is but one street only. Be kind be fair be safe ❤ See the bigger picture then you will hopefully find it...

The New Gastown Millinium settlement right to open it's doors to the public in and around Vancouver, it's taylor'd businesses are sure to also bring in Tourist or Liberal dollars into this once poorest Canadian postal code in Vancouver, with it's short stack Reformation from all over Mount Pleasant and Gastown, it is sure to be a vocal point to this transformation and revitalization portside and rail linked to outside currencies that build the economy here, w/o people from the area being overly burdened by taxation, from the government handouts that instinctively put favor equally in green zones in the city, that did nothing but ask for more potential bankside land development to put their ministry offices and locations, both Federal and Provincial and a minor Municipal Presence in the Mount Pleasant Area. Keys to the social Avenues that open Parkside in the midst of networking into the area, is asking the bottom line when dealing w/o the true vendor, that open almost 24hrs w/ middlemen who provide services with a quick flip of ratio's and denomination, but risk is always true when handling any form of cash, functioning alcoholic's and addicts spring the populi, and sometimes it is hard to tell a junkie from a...

Pigeon Park, located in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, has an interesting history and plays a significant role in the city's landscape. While its name might conjure images of its feathery inhabitants, the park itself offers a different experience. It's a central urban space, surrounded by the city's diverse culture and activities. Some may find its vibrant atmosphere and street art captivating, while others may view it as a reminder of the area's challenges. Pigeon Park is not your typical serene green space, but it certainly holds a unique place in Vancouver's urban narrative, offering a window into the diverse and complex...
