This was our first time attending the venue.
Not knowing where we were going, we were able to find our way without issue. We arrived at 6, doors opened at 6:30 and we were inside in minutes.
The staff were plentiful, friendly and helpful. Staff communication was good. Looked to be that nearly all the gates were wheelchair accessible.
We had pre-purchased our merch online - something we've also never done before. Despite an initial oops with email instructions for the pickup location, we were quickly redirected and able to collect our items with difficulty or any wait at all. Our items were provided in a clear bag, they were checked to make sure we got what we ordered, and then we signed off on them. What a great system! They also sent an apology email for the earlier confusion, which we thought was nice. It honestly wasn't a big deal, all we had to do was ask a staff member and they knew.
We spoke to other people who did buy things via the usual merch line and they said that despite the big crowd, the line moved very quickly and it was a good experience.
Bathrooms were plentiful, clean, stocked and all looked to be wheelchair accessible. At the times we visited them, there was no wait at all.
Lots of food and drink options from what we saw of everyone around us, although we didn't get anything. We noted quite a few water fountains available as well - much appreciated.
It was easy to find our section and seats. The seats were fairly narrow - not unlike an economy airplane seat width. A larger person would likely have difficulty fitting comfortably. Besides this, the seats themselves were decently comfortable. No sore backs, butts or legs from being in them.
The floor setup looked good. There was a huge general admission crowd, but everything was laid out well and there were lots of staff around to keep things safe.
Even from way up in the nosebleeds, we still had a great view and the sound was good throughout. Despite everyone standing and jumping, our view was never obstructed.
While we had enough room to move around a bit, we did have to mind ourselves to not elbow each other... or anyone beside us. This was doable for us, but a wider person would be quite restricted, even if they were to just stand there.
It looked to be a near full house, but exiting was quick and easy, and staff members wished everyone a good night as we all left.
All in all, this was a very positive experience. We had a fabulous time and will...
Read moreRogers Arena. One of my favourite places to be at. Love the vibe here. Really good food. Friendly employees. The hosts are really really kind to us every-time we are here. CANUCKS FTW 🏒 As a lifelong fan of hockey and live events, Rogers Arena holds a special place in my heart. This iconic venue has brought me so much joy and excitement over the years, and I'm thrilled to be able to share my experience with others.
From the moment I stepped into the arena, I was struck by its grandeur and energy. The atmosphere is electric, with fans of all ages and backgrounds coming together to cheer on their favorite teams and artists. The seating is comfortable and spacious, with plenty of legroom and great views of the action no matter where you're sitting.
The staff at Rogers Arena are some of the friendliest and most helpful people you'll ever meet. They go out of their way to make sure everyone has a great time, whether it's by answering questions, providing directions, or just chatting with fans. It's clear that they take pride in their work and are committed to making sure everyone has a positive experience.
The food and beverage options at Rogers Arena are top-notch as well. There are plenty of concessions stands and restaurants to choose from, offering everything from classic stadium fare to gourmet cuisine. Whether you're in the mood for a hot dog and a beer or a more upscale meal, you'll find something to suit your tastes.
Of course, the main attraction at Rogers Arena is the events themselves. I've had the pleasure of seeing some incredible performances here, from thrilling hockey games to amazing concerts and shows. The acoustics and lighting are top-notch, creating an immersive and unforgettable experience for everyone in attendance.
Overall, I can't recommend Rogers Arena enough. Whether you're a die-hard sports fan or just looking for a fun night out, this venue has something for everyone. The combination of great staff, fantastic amenities, and unforgettable events make it one of the best places to visit in Vancouver. I can't wait to come back and make more memories at Rogers Arena...
Read moreAlright, Canucks fans, I braved the lion's den (or should I say orca tank?) – Rogers Arena – for a recent Jets game. Look, even a die-hard Jets fan like myself has to admit, it's an experience.
The Good:
Rocking Atmosphere (But Not As Rocking As The Canada Life Centre): You Canucks fans sure know how to get loud. Credit where credit's due, the crowd energy was electric. Though, I gotta say, it lacked a certain... je ne sais quoi compared to the Canada Life Centre back home. Maybe it's the sea air? Good Eats (Except for the Lack of Lobster Rolls): Okay, maybe not everything was good. Food selection was decent, but come on, folks, you're surrounded by water! Where's the proper lobster roll action? A seafood haven shouldn't have to settle for mystery meat on a bun. Easy Access: Public transportation dropped me right off practically at the doorstep, and parking seemed plentiful. Winnipeg could take some notes on arena accessibility. The "Needs Work"
Pricey Concessions: Maybe it's the exchange rate, or maybe it's just highway robbery, but those concession stand prices were enough to make a Manitoban faint. Twenty bucks for a hot dog? You'd think it came with a side of airplane tickets back home. Overall:
Rogers Arena's not bad for a hostile environment (those jerseys still sting!). Just be prepared for loud Canucks fans, a serious lack of proper lobster rolls, and the potential for some serious financial bleeding at the concession stands.
But hey, at least Winnipeg's still got the better team. Even if we did lose this round. ;)
Bonus Tip: For Winnipeg Jets fans venturing into enemy territory, pack your earplugs, your travel mug (fill it with something stronger than coffee if the score doesn't go your way), and a healthy dose of self-deprecating humor. You might need it. But remember, no matter where you are, there's no place like home ice (or should I...
