The Walmart staff was kind, pleasant and helpful. I was surprised to find how expensive things have become. The store has electric mobility carts which still draws me to the store. Walmart seems to understand that our populations are aging and that walking the length of megastore can be difficult. Unlike No Frill's, Food Basics etc. More upscale stores like Loblaws, Zehr's supply chairs. But it is people who cannot afford their own scooters that need the service - and they shop at bargain stores. Went to mall to upgrade my Freedom Mobile service. I was emailed, and confirmed with Freedom that I could upgrade to a better phone. Only I couldn't because I don't have the right ID. I cannot afford a credit card - which is not ID, my license and SIN# were not ID enough. They required a credit card. But I consistently pay my phone bill on time for the last 5yrs. So, I travelled all the way there for a waste of time (the town where I live does not have a mall with the same stores) So two stores were a bit...
Read moreHonestly, this one is not the greatest mall. The movie theatre is a nice little touch, and the Bulk Barn is nice, as well as a few of the stores. However, many stores that pop up in this mall do not last for very long before they close down. The amount of foot traffic in this mall is also very odd. It is very quiet and never busy, so it seems like that’s why the stores have a hard time staying around in this mall. The new Service Canada addition is nice, though they do not have the greatest internet connection which made paying for the service a bit difficult. They got rid of urban planet and New York Fries, both of which were more popular choices inside. While walking through the mall every time something just feels off. The halls are huge, but so eerily quiet, and the stores rarely have very many customers. It hasn’t gotten much busier over the last years. For such a busy geographical area it is a quiet place. Any thoughts as to why...
Read moreI was just removed from Showcase by the Mall security. I went in to return a product, I was offered an exchange. Which I politely declined at the time. ( I would have accepted an exchange if it was the only option.) I was then told I was being refused an exchange or refund by a manager who was on the phone, and not even there to even see the product. At that point I was immediately confronted by the mall security to leave the store that is contradicting it's own return policies. So we are acting in bad faith to Ontario consumers and using the security team to escort 6 year olds and their dads out of the stores, when they would like to have some consumer protection over a defective product. I'll leave this review for the administration. I'd love a conversation over this small $15 item that wasted my time and embarrassed me and...
