Large boulders to keep the water at bay. Black fencing to keep people and kids off the train tracks. Yes, the trains still run. Designated areas to cross the tracks. Paid parking, purchase ticket, parking stalls have numbers. All kinds of restaurants and coffee shops, lots of ice cream parlors. No McD's or Wendy's type fast food. Those who are visiting Canada and going there must know it’s not dry sand beach so plan accordingly. Lots of crabs in water at the right side of pier. Left side of pier is better than right. To photographers I suggest to shoot from right side. For better colors. For people and for landscape shoot from left to right at sunset time.
