Not Quite the White Rock Welcome We Hoped For — But Still Wishing Them Well

BeaverTails is a classic treat we often enjoy, and while the product here was what we expected in terms of flavor, there were a few things that left us a little disappointed.

We came during what should have been a busy lunch hour, but the store was fairly quiet. We ordered hot dogs and beaver tails. The beaver tails were tasty, though noticeably thinner than what we’ve had at other locations. The hot dog was decent — a simple bite that’s hard to go wrong with.

Where the experience really faltered was in service. There was virtually no interaction from the person behind the counter. No greeting, no warmth, no sense of hospitality — and that’s something you really do notice when it’s missing. The boxes were also quite greasy and not well-presented. Most surprising of all, despite the lack of a crowd, our wait time was nearly 40 minutes.

To be clear, the food wasn’t the problem. It’s the lack of customer service, long delay, and careless presentation that don’t encourage a return visit — especially in a town where there are so many great options right by the pier.

Still, we know every business has its off days. We genuinely wish the team well and hope to see this location step up its service in the future. A little care and kindness...

Delicious Treats at BeaverTails – Queues de Castor (White Rock)!

I had an amazing experience at BeaverTails – Queues de Castor in White Rock! The moment I arrived, I was greeted by the friendly staff, who provided excellent service and helped me choose from their delicious menu.

The BeaverTails pastries were absolutely fantastic—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and topped with just the right amount of sweetness. I tried the classic cinnamon and sugar, as well as the Nutella banana, and both were incredibly tasty. They were freshly made and served warm, making them the perfect treat while enjoying the beautiful White Rock scenery.

The location was clean and well-maintained, adding to the overall pleasant experience. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a longtime fan of BeaverTails, this spot is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a delicious and unique dessert by...

Went by for a late night snack and I live just a few steps away so figured it was a better time than any to go visit Beaver Tail! I had seen them getting ready to open in the summer but haven’t had the chance to enjoy!

It was a slow rainy evening so I understand why it was slow but I came in and they were happy to see me! Smiles, great service! They took my order and I guess one dough came out smaller than their standard so they apologized, made me a new one and then still gave me the “baby beaver tail” and gave me a different flavour to try!

Very sweet and kind hearted folk behind the counter, very delicious beaver tails that brings me back to being a kid again! Come hang out here for coffee...
