Adonis Men's Spa — Attraction in Winnipeg

I’m posting this review and using my real name because I have nothing to hide and want everyone to know!

I want everyone to know about my most recent, shocking and disappointing experience at Adonis Spa with one of the owners named Eric.

I've been a loyal paying customer of this bathhouse since it opened over 50+ years ago when it was named The Office which was owned by Phillip then it was passed on to Joe and lastly it was sold to Doug which is now known as Adonis Spa.

I've been coming to Adonis Spa on a regular basis and often times multiple days of the week consistently. I really enjoyed coming to Adonis Spa.

One day last week I came in and Eric who is one of the owners of Adonis Spa spoke to me about me being at Aquarius and I should go back there and I wasn't welcome at Adonis Spa therefore barring me from Adonis Spa.

I was in shock and disappointment. I didn't understand why Eric would tell me this. Any customer can go to any business they want and they don't have to be loyal to any business.

I was at Adonis Spa about 2 days before this incident of barring me happened talking to Doug the other owner in a friendly conversation and had no issues that day at Adonis Spa what so ever.

I’ve never had any issues with any of the employees, the owners Doug and Eric or anything else to do with Adonis Spa until that one day last week with that confrontation with Eric.

I never came into Adonis Spa intoxicated and or did any of the following in there such as drugs, drank alcohol, smoked, solicited to or for anything, made a mess of the place or destroyed anything ever unlike some of the customers that go there. I was never rude to the staff. I was always was respectful to the business, owners, employees and customers.

Like any business there are things you may not like or agree with.

I've never complained about Adonis Spa for allowing smoking in the washroom.

I've never complained about the poppers Adonis Spa sells which is a solvent that people walk around with and sniff which smells bad.

I’ve never complained about how small most of the rooms are in there.

I also never complained about seeing cockroaches in my room and in my clothes as well and other parts of the building either.

Barring a customer who goes to the competitor is like the manager of Wal-Mart barring a customer because they shop at Superstore.

The owners of Adonis Spa claim I was bad mouthing them.

If this is true, why wasn’t it addressed at the time that I did it? Why are either of the owners claiming I bad mouthed them only online but neither of them had the courage to tell me I bad mouthed them face to face and what I exactly said about them?

Let's say I did say something about Adonis Spa or the owners or whatever, why do they even care? They were making money off a loyal paying customer which is myslef who came there multiple days of the week on a consistent basis and I didn’t cause any trouble what so ever.

You don't see Wal-Mart barring someone for saying Wal-Mart sucks or for a Wal-Mart manager overhearing a customer who said this employee is incompetent or whatever.

What Doug and Eric are saying and claiming is a 100% complete fabrication.

I got barred from Adonis Spa for doing absolutely nothing wrong.

This is not right what happened to me and very unprofessional, immature and incompetent.

Maybe Eric was having a bad day because sometimes that happens to anyone and I get it but don't take it out on the customers especially a senior citizen.

I wish Eric would come to his senses and understand he made a big mistake by barring a 50+ year loyal paying customer who is a senior citizen who came consistently on a regular basis who never caused trouble what so ever.

Come to think about it… That’s fine I’m barred from Adonis Spa.

There’s another business in the city that is a competitor with Adonis Spa that provides a superior experience and soon will have a bar serving drinks too in a safer environment that Adonis Spa can’t provide or...

I started going to Adonis regularly this past winter on co-ed nights however a couple months ago I went and was told I was banned by the owner. The worker said it was for breaking the hotub, which I absolutely did not do. It really was the only reason I was going, also I have had hotubs most my life and know how to operate and even fix them. The hotub was always operational when I was there and when I left. The worker who has always been incredibly rude to me every time I went there in the past refused any information that would allow me to contact the owner, who I never have met or seen there, so that me and anyone that was going with me there would be allowed back in. I am have never had someone act so childish while power tripping, the associated is clearly lying to the owner by slandering my character and anyone that knows me. This feels like discrimination because I am not a gay male. Each time I have gone, probably 20 times, I have been treated very rudely by the staff especially the larger childish worker who banned me, not the owner that I never had the chance to talk to. I could not care less if I ever go back however it's unfortunate for the people that went regularly there cannot anymore just for knowing me, because I guarantee the hotub never broke when I was there and I have never caused any issues or drama, I was just relaxing in the hotube when that same bigger worker guy came over and yelled at me and now I am banned for simply relaxing in the hot tub which I'm sure the video evidence would show.

I would suggest going elsewhere if you're not a male because the co-ed nights do not make the place feel weinclusive and we I only wonder how many other people have been banned by that worker because he seemed to really not like bekingj there and helping people is too...

It is small, and the facilities are not fancy, but they are clean and well taken care of. Rates for lockers and rooms are reasonable and affordable.

You will see a wide variety of men there (coed days notwithstanding--those are usually slow), various ages and ethnicities. Friday evening is the most busy time. However no matter what, I have never had any issue with respect, consent, or any other problems with either the clientel or the staff (the staff are very helpful and polite).

The environment is very cruisy--it's dark, or dimly lit, in most places outside the main entrance, and you can find what you are looking for in most places.

My only complaint is that the hottub smells far too strongly of chlorine, and the circulation around the nearby hallway could be improved. I always end up smelling the chlorine in my sinuses when I leave and it gives...
