This park features a duck pond, children's play center, bbq area with canopy, sled runs in the winter. Great place for kids 2-10 as the play center is surrounded by trees to provide shade for them and their caregivers. There are up to date washrooms around the park which were recently built. When the kids get bored a 5 min walk gets you to the duck pond that has a circular path for them to walk around. There is a nice small flower garden to view along the path. The ducks are fun to watch for the kids. However, the Canadian Geese are a bit of a nuisance at times due to the fact that they are feed often by generous people. However, they will not hiss at you because of that which makes it easier to put up with them. Lots of bird poop so if you are planning a nice tidy walk with your Sunday best this is not your place. However, the poop is avoidable if you are not on your phone and paying attention. In the winter, the sled runs are awesome for kids of all ages. Overall, this park is great with less traffic than Kildonan and Assiniboine Park. It is very close to the St. Vital Mall if you are ambitious enough to get some shopping in. The park is missing a big attraction to make it a 5 star but it is still a worth a 1-2 hour visit for a...

St Vital Park is beautiful year round. Four season park to go for a walk, bike, ski, toboggan, picnics, run, roller blade, sun tan, read a book, play volleyball/football/soccer, wedding/grad fotos, dock your boats.

Spring brings out the flowers, the geese & ducks come back to the park which they call home.

Even the winter months with white sparking snow covering the ground & touching the trees can take your breath away. It was great to see families/friends/or people alone enjoying the great outdoors & hearing joy/laughter as these past months have been difficult. This was a peaceful warm Sunday afternoon which I spent amazing four hours enjoying what I luv most outdoors & taking fotos 💙

August 8, 2021 - 31C hot with a nice breeze for a walk in the park. People were out with family, grandchildren, celebrating special occasions today. It was a real blessing to see. It has been a hard year & half. The fresh air was good for the lungs. Of course after my walk I went to my car to get the bird seed for the geese and ducks. I sat & walked along the pond feeding my feathered friends. It was a relaxing mid-morning to afternoon for me. Just what I needed. Good...

I lived in Wpg my whole life up until two weeks ago on my sisters birthday she planned a walk with her daughters and invited myself and my daughter to St.Vital park first question where’s that ?! Then asked my daughter if she’s been there or if she knew where it was she guided me I was amazed how beautiful this park was and how I never been there was amazing I live few blocks from Kildonan park so I guess that’s why I’ve never been there I love the duck pond the garden was at its fullest there was also a boat launch the park was fairly clean noticed big areas of land scape was mud also there was no painted section marked designated for walkers on the shared road way like at Kildonan Park for safety specially walking with little ones (just a suggestion)other than that we enjoyed our evening at...

It's a big and beautiful park, where you can pretty much have all kinds of events. From sporting activities, to hangouts with family and friends, to picnics and more. It also has an indoor centre just in case you want something more enclosed and more private. It also has a lake with beautiful little waterfalls (or should I say sprinkles) if you want to enjoy the scenery during summer, but make sure you go with your mosquito repellent because there are lots of mosquitoes there. The park also has a play area for kids with slides, swings and more. In all, it's not a bad place at all. My 4 star rating is because of my experience with mosquitos.

St. Vital park is a wonderful place for any walk of life. There are wonderful places to picnic, have a family gathering, take a stroll along the river, duck pond, or through the woods. For those who are interested, St Vital Park has many Geocache locations as well as Pokemon for those playing Pokemon Go! The play structure area for kids is massive and well spread out, so that kids have room to play and run in between. There are bathrooms right in the play structure area during, as well as in the centre of the park. There is ample parking, but you may have to walk a bit during times.
