This is a lovely arch, but it’s not very well kept, which is a shame, as its one of the few places built by the English. If they removed the graffiti it would be really nice. The park itself is lovely. Its worth a visit if you are in Valparaiso.

El Arco Británico es un monumento ubicado en la Avenida Brasil, en el plan de la ciudad de Valparaíso. Fue donado en el año 1910 por la colonia británica residente en Valparaíso con motivo del Centenario de la Independencia de Chile y fue inaugurado en el año 1911.

Description
The Arco Británico is a monument on Avenida Brasil, in Valparaíso, Chile. It was donated to the town in 1910 by the British community there to mark the centenary of the Independence of Chile. Designed by the Chilean architect Alfredo Azancot, the arch was unveiled in 1911.
