Wall is decorated with their many accolades. Ordered more than we can handle but in general food quality was good and service impeccable. Lovely ambience too. All reflected in the price too.
The Peking Duck was good, tender meat though I wished the skin was a bit more roasted. I did enjoy their unique sauce that's mixed with peanut and sesame sauce. The 七味椒盐豆腐 (the one that looks like cheese cubes) is a must order, don't know what the 7 flavours are, but it's just yums. Tasted like mini cheese cubes but is tofu instead.

Service was so-so, and, for a Michelin star contender, I didn't expect waiters to stand so near to our table looking at their phones or talking loudly.
The tofu skin appetiser was very nice. Skip the persimmon desert - cream doesn't go well with persimmons.
Da Dong restaurant is in the building next door and their food is finer. Nevertheless, do come to 1949 as the ambience is nice and the...
