Excellent for locals with Hong Kong ID, but could be a complete nightmare for visitors, especially during weekends or public holidays. I came here from Macau on 1 July, which is a HK public holiday. I arrived at the Hong Kong side of immigration before 6pm, but didn’t pass the immigration until 8pm. 2 hours of just waiting in the queue with thousands of other visitors, but only 4 visitor booths were open!!!! Thousands of visitors vs 4 booths, what a joke! This puts bad reputations against Hong Kong’s image of being highly efficient, and also unfair for the hard working officers sitting in these 4 booths. A week later, another family member of the Thai national was also stopped there… Please be aware of this when traveling and it is very disheartening and discouraging of how they treat other ASEAN...
