I went to visit the Tian Tan Buddha with my girlfriend, and afterwards, we visited the shops in Ngong Ping Piazza. There was a crazy mental Hong Kong guy who kept swearing in Cantonese to random people on the street , and when we walked by, he started to follow us and swore at us. We escaped to a souvenir store, and the workers there were so protective that they let us hide inside their store and even escorted us out with an umbrella to prevent the crazy man from seeing us. Eventually, we were safe, and the security guards came. I was really appreciative of the professionalism and kindness of the workers in the souvenir store.

Ngong Ping Piazza is a vibrant and lively hub at the foot of the Big Buddha on Lantau Island. It's a great place to wander around, shop, grab a bite to eat, and soak up the atmosphere. I was impressed by the charming architecture and the beautiful gardens. The Piazza is designed to blend in harmoniously with the natural surroundings, creating a relaxing and welcoming environment. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from, offering a range of cuisines and souvenirs. The local crafts are particularly beautiful, and I loved browsing the selection of traditional Chinese art and textiles.

It is so traditional place not only its architecture but also its sculpture. Besides, you are able to have a look this village, there are market, restaurants and souvenir shops. We did not come the right time due to heavy fog, so we didn't have a chance to see whole spectacular scenery. I will visit again if I travel in Hong Kong next time. If you are a traveler, this place is worth to visit and leaner about some Chinese culture.

It's a well-maintained square at the bottom of the Big Buddha stairs. It starts with the alley with the statues of 12 generals, each corresponding to Zodiak signs. At the later part of the day you can find wild cows roaming through the place and eating grass. They are very friendly and are not particularly interested in people. There are also several food stands near the square.

Nice pathway that leads from the Ngong Ping Village to the Po Lin Monastary. You can tell you are heading here since you go under a larch arch. There are statues that line both sides of the piazza which are all different. The most interesting thing are the cows that are just standing around.
