Island Cafe — Restaurant in Islands District

This is the best local chinese restaurant in Hong Kong, and one of the best places I've ever been to. I eat here all the time I'm in Discovery Bay and the quality is always amazing, even if it varies slightly here and there. Prices are standard Hong Kong for the portions and variety and if you disagree then you're unaware of how much prices have spiked recently all over Hong Kong or how to order good food.

God tier picks that are distinct to this restaurant: Thai style flat noodles Any of the crispy noodles, but espeically garupa or squid (served in clay pot, so yum) Any of the fried rice but especially fujian

If you're coming here to eat spaghetti or whatever cafe decoral variant then you're missing out on some real gems and I don't even live in DB anymore and I wake up missing Island Cafe - no other resto compares. It's one of its kind and has added to the menu based on community feedback and if it ever shut down It will live...

The drinks had an oily surface. It came from their oily cups. The soy chicken rice was quite horrible. The amount of fat on the chicken was as much as the meat. The bake pork chop rice had a dull taste. Daily soup portion was huge; good enough for 2 or 3 persons. It lacks flavor.

Hong Kong style fast food shop. Food just so so. Price a bit higher than similar cafe but relatively cheap in Discovery Bay. It's already moved from 104A shop to 105A shop. The new shop is bigger and brighter, already installed some self order machines...
