I am writing to provide feedback on my recent unpleasant experience during my stay at your hotel in Hong Kong. I would like to express my disappointment with the level of service and the attitude of the front desk staff, particularly the female staff member who appeared to be quite indifferent. After completing the check-in process guided by the male staff member, I was informed that there would be a water shutdown in the room after 11:30 PM that evening. When I inquired about alternative options for showering at that time, I was informed that it was not possible. Despite my reluctance, I decided to accept the situation. However, upon seeing the outdated and cramped room, I made the decision not to stay at the hotel. I approached the front desk to inquire about the possibility of checking out, but I was firmly informed that it was not allowed. I had to request a refund through the booking platform, and I am grateful to Ctrip for assisting me in the process. Unfortunately, the hotel has shown no willingness to provide any form of compensation for the subpar experience.I regret that I did not have a pleasant stay as I had hoped for, with professional and friendly service. This experience has raised concerns about the quality of service at your hotel. I sincerely hope that you will take my feedback seriously and take measures to improve the service quality, ensuring a better experience for every guest.I strongly discourage others from choosing Vega Suites Hotel based on my experience. I hope my feedback will be taken into consideration, and I look forward to your response regarding...
Read moreVega Suites could be 3* or 5, depending on your needs. I'm giving 4 as an overall average. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but the location, in Tseung Kwon O, is not suitable for tourists. If you're just visiting Hong Kong for a couple of days, you won't want to stay here because you'll spend so much time on transportation. But if you're here for a longer stay, and this area is acceptable, then you'll probably consider Vega Suites an attractive option.
Here's an example: the room doesn't come with hand soap. This doesn't completely make sense to me, because it does come with shower gel, shampoo, not to mention toilet paper—but anyway, the point is this: if you're going to be here for a while, walking to the large and convenient shopping mall next door and finding hand soap is not a big deal. But if you're not going to be here for a while, you'll probably be annoyed.
My room was a deluxe studio, so that's what I'm judging. Nice kitchenette with refrigerator, microwave, even an electric stovetop. Living here for weeks or even a month or two is perfectly feasible. Laundry is available on the 8th floor.
There are a couple of design flaws in the bathroom. The telephone is hanging on the wall right next to the toilet paper dispenser, so inevitably you're going to knock the phone off the hook as you reach for toilet paper. I guess nobody thought of that. Also, the gap between the counter and the shower is wide enough for things to fall in, and narrow enough that it can be a hassle to fish...
