Was at this hotel for 1 night on a Saturday and my review as follows:||1) Location|This is nicely located hotel in zhongshan park connected to cloud nine mall. Hotel entrance can be access inside the mall, not far from zara. The main Metro Line 2 (to Airports and Hongqiao Railway Station) is connected to Zhongshan Park station which is excellent. Metro Line 2, Exit 5 and Exit 11 are the most convenient exits for this Hotel.||2) Check in|Lobby at level 25 is huge but why only 4 seater sofa available for guests. Hopefully the hotel can add more chairs at the lobby for guests to sit during check in and out. I was attended by Miss Almira during check in. Miss Almira is very welcoming and friendly and efficient and she can speak fluent english. Two thumbs up.||3) Executive Lounge|The executive lounge is located on 26th floor. The afternoon tea selections is very limited and poor i would say when i arrive at about 4pm. There is no refill of cakes and croissant although the afternoon tea is supposed to be until 5pm. The evening happy hour (5.30pm onwards) has a lot of substantial food choices and good spread but the environment is very chaotic and crowded for a lounge. Everybody is fighting for the food especially Roast Meat. Really hope the hotel can do something about this. At the executive lounge on 26th Floor, we were being served by Mr Rain. Once again, outstanding service given by Mr Rain. Rain was very welcoming, friendly and efficient. Two thumbs up to Almira and Rain. Overall, i think the executive lounge can be more relaxing and not so crowded/chaotic.||4) Deluxe Room|Yes they were a bit dated, old and in need of some refurbishment. However, everything in the room is working good. Bathroom amenities were good too. Room and bathrooms are spacious and the view from the room is nice overlooking Shanghai city centre.||5) Lift Security|I hope the hotel can improve on the lift security as it did not restrict anyone to any floors. even non hotel guests can access to any floors. Nowadays, almost all luxury hotels have good security system on their lifts. Not sure why renaissance did not have it implemented.||6) Buffet Breakfast|Very good spread with many local food to try. Almost all the hot dishes tasted really delicious. However, the breakfast environment especially at the chinese sections are always chaotic and crowded. From 8am to 9am, the buffet breakfast restaurants are very crowded, noisy and messy. Hopefully the hotel can improve on this. Otherwise, i quite like the buffet breakfast at this hotel.||Overall, i still think this hotel is a great choice to stay in Shanghai due to its location and it is quite value for money (if the price is under RMB900...

Bathroom amenities were good too. At the executive lounge, we feel that the food selection during Afternoon Tea is poor (at 4pm, there is no refill anymore alto the afternoon tea is until 5pm). The evening happy hour session was very crowded and chaotic with guest fighting over the buffet food. My suggestion is that mayb the hotel can consider distributing the roast meat from table to table instead of having all guests fighting over it which does not loom good for executive lounge experience. Otherwise the food selection for the happy hour was good and very substantial. For buffet breakfast, once again the situation is very crowded from 8am to 9am. Hotel look under staff too during buffet breakfast. Nevertheless, this hotel buffet breakfast spread was good, extensive and many delicious local food to try. Hopefully the hotel management can find a way to solve the crowded and chaotic situation during evening happy hour at the Executive Lounge and Buffet Breakfast. Overall, i still think this is a great to excellent to stay in shanghai. Highly...

Everything’s really great during my stay~ Check-in service is fast and efficient~ Room upgraded to a junior suite with a great city skyline view and an awesome sunset view really enjoyed the warm sunshine the whole afternoon

Room quite spacious with three separate space — a small living room (with a TV set, a desk, a simple sofa, and a minibar), a bedroom ( also equipped with a TV set, and closets), and a bath room ( bright and spacious); It’s a corner room, meaning there is less noise disturbing me~ however, somehow there was still some noise of people’s moving the tables or chairs, and other guests talking next door. Also, the subway or light rail down there is really very annoying due to the noise created when the train runs on the tracks which keep going on all day from the early morning till the midnight… I believe it’s better to improve the noise isolation in this hotel. I prefer the junior suite to the two-room suite because of its location at the corner while its view is way better than the two-room suite.

Room is very clean and thanks to the cleaning service and staff ~ Nearly all staff members are very friendly and helpful.

Location is very good since there is a big mall right on the premise. Across the road there also lies another big shopping mall. And two light rails and one subway are available within walking distance.

Generally, this hotel offers a really convenient and relative cozy stay experience, and it’s pricing is really very attractive. Good value for money~

Though it’s a bit old and needs improving, it’s an established hotel in the area and has undergone some refurbishment last year. I really hope to see more improvements in the following days to make it keep...

UPDATE: We now have stayed there three times for 2-3 weeks each. Horace Chen is truly exceptional! He assisted us greatly with our room during our recent stay – truly amazing. He is super friendly and extremely responsive. Additionally, the staff is very helpful in general, including the concierge desk, room service, and executive lounge. Despite the hotel showing some signs of age and the lounge often being crowded, we will definitely stay there again! Overall very nice hotel. Great location, and directly connected to the Longemont shopping mall, which can be reached by several subway lines. We had a room on one of the upper floors that was spacious, sunny and comfortable. The afternoon tea/dinner lounge on floor 58 is excellent. Some of the seafood options were just spectacular! Breakfast on floor 26 is much recommended, too. Plenty of options such sesame balls, Chinese donuts, dumplings, pastries, tea eggs and much more. Concierge desk staff is super friendly and helpful. Also, staff is really friendly overall. Many thanks! The only criticism I have is that the hotel feels a bit outdated. Also, some of the front desk staff (evening staff) seem to be trainees with limited knowledge. However, I would still highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel offers a great experience with its good location and service. While the facilities could benefit from some updates, the professionalism and friendliness of the staff, particularly Daisy, make it a good choice for biz travelers. Pros: The hotel is in a prime location, making it easy to explore the city. There are several subway stations just below the hotel, and it is connected to a large mall with many restaurant and shopping options. The service is excellent, and the front desk staff(lounge) are professional and friendly. A special shoutout to Daisy, who was incredibly helpful and helped me get my HDMI cable left behind a few months ago. The hotel’s breakfast is my favorite, featuring Chinese crepes and wontons. The coffee is also ok. The lady in charge of breakfast is also very friendly and welcoming. Cons: The downside is that the hotel facilities are a bit dated and could use some updates. And lounge is quite crowded. Overall, a great and safe place to stay with reliable service!

First time to stay in this hotel, really expecting something good but ended up disappointing. When I checked in the room key card says “evenings at Renaissance, experience the unexpected”, I really look forward to the unexpected, and the unexpected turns out to be filthy dirty water from shower and water shut down! Check the videos, this is really disgusting. Worst thing is that there is no compensation or apology. I was brushing my teeth and felt something strange taste in my mouth and found out water is like this dirty! Also, the room is so small. The picture looks so much bigger. But the real room is so much smaller. Also, the remote says there is HBO, but the TV doesnt have it. Lies lies lies. So next time, I would rather try the two Hyatt hotels across the street. Pros: Firstly the location is perfect, direct subway to two airports and two main train stations, downstairs is a huge shopping mall with ten floors with everything and the subway station, loved this! Then the view is great.
